The Dominica Nurses Association (DNA) says it will be holding a range of activities leading up to the May 12 commemoration, beginning with a church service at the Deliverance Baptist Church on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
President of the Dominica Nurses Association Julie Blaize says the occasion provides an opportunity to recognize nursing as an important profession.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn May 2nd and 3rd, we will visiting the Princess Margaret Hospital to meet and discuss with them. On the official day, there will be radio addresses by the ministry of health,\u201d She disclosed.<\/p>\n
The association is also organizing a panel discussion \u201cwhere the public will be able to come and give their views about nursing and the sector\u201d.<\/p>\n
Blaize says the DNA will also use the opportunity to have a tea party for retired nurses.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany times we forget our retired nurses, so this year we want to make them feel special,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
