Basham Julien was arrested and charged on May 1st, 2012 at Bath Estate where he was chased by members of the police Drug Squad.<\/p>\n
According to the police, the defendant had in his possession 27 grams of cocaine estimated at about EC$500 which he threw over a galvanised covering when he was approached by police.<\/p>\n
The drug was later recovered and brought in to the police headquarters.<\/p>\n
Also in his possession was 5 grams of marijuana and $426.90.<\/p>\n
Julien\u2019s attorney, Bernadette Lambert pleaded to the court for leniency for her client.<\/p>\n
She informed the court that he was the owner of a small business and is currently pursuing a diploma in business.<\/p>\n
