Pascal was also slapped with an additional fine of $800.00 to be paid by 30th June.<\/p>\n
He was told that failure to make that payment within the stipulated time would land him in jail for three months.<\/p>\n
He appeared before Magistrate Candia George on a charge of theft, and pleaded guilty to the offence.<\/p>\n
Pascal was brought to the court after withdrawing $1000 from the account of the complainant.<\/p>\n
Complainant Miguel Pascal is reported to have gone to an ATM machine to inquiry about the balance on his account on 26 April, 2012 but walked away from the machine before the transaction was completely over.<\/p>\n
The court heard that a few moments later the accused noticed that the screen of the machine showed \u201cwould you like to complete another transaction?\u201d and quickly withdrew money from the account.<\/p>\n
He told the police that he used the money to purchase parts for his scooter.<\/p>\n
The Magistrate expressed her disgust over his action of \u201cstealing for things that are not necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said she took into consideration the fact that he pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity.<\/p>\n
He was also a first time offender.<\/p>\n
