Anthony Hector pleaded guilty to related charges on May 31, 2012.<\/p>\n
He was picked up by the police from the La Plaine district on May 18, 2012.<\/p>\n
Hector was placed in police cells and the following day brought out for questioning,\u00a0 but he escaped from the police station and ran in the bushes.<\/p>\n
The police gave chase but Hector made good his escape.<\/p>\n
However, later in the week he was pursued and arrested after the police were informed of his whereabouts.<\/p>\n
Hector was charged with escaping custody, resisting arrest and stealing a ram goat valued at EC$150.00.<\/p>\n
He pleaded not guilty to the charge of theft.<\/p>\n
The trial is set for September 5, 2012.<\/p>\n
On the charge of resisting arrest and escaping lawful custody he pleaded guilty and was given three months jail sentence each to run consecutively.<\/p>\n
Asked what he had to say before sentencing Hector told the court, \u201cI got frustrated in the cell\u2026did not want to escape but was forced into doing so.\u201d<\/p>\n
However Magistrate Candia Carette George told him \u201cit\u2019s a habit you have when police arrest you, you always escape. You have done so before and you were sent to jail and yet still you are still doing this, well, the sentence will again be the same\u2026jail\u201d.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Claxton John Baptiste of 29 Bowers Lane Goodwill has been placed on bail after he pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply.<\/p>\n
He was arrested on May, 30, 2012 at Potterville with 62 grams of cannabis.<\/p>\n
He is represented in the matter by lawyer David Bruney.<\/p>\n
