Heather Warrington<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A mother of four, who lost two of her children through a nasty custody battle with their father, is asking the authorities to intervene because she said she hasn\u2019t seen them since 2010.<\/p>\n

Heather Warrington of Calibishie said in August 2011 a magistrate ruled that she was an unfit mother and granted full custody to their father.<\/p>\n

The distressed mother said the magistrate ruled that she was entitled to visiting rights on weekends however, according to her, their father has prevented that.<\/p>\n

Warrington told Dominica News Online she wants the relevant authorities to intervene because she misses her children.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t have a permanent home before and I really moved from house to house. However government gave me a home and it is properly equipped with all the necessary facilities. They (government) pay the rent, water, electricity and they give me a stipend every month,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Warrington sad further that she also provide domestic services for several persons and she is quite capable of taking care of her children.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy problem is the father just won\u2019t let me see them. Everything I know about them since 2011, is people who tell me. I went to see them once and he prevented me from even getting a glimpse of them. I miss my children,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Warrington said their father filed for full custody after she took him to court for child support.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy problem is not even with the fact that he has the children. My problem is that I haven\u2019t seen them for years and I feel like I am losing my mind,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She pointed out that she has never neglected her children and she said she has received reports that they are not receiving the best of care.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hear they always on the streets and looking untidy\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
