On a hot, summer Friday night hundreds of parishioners turned out for a Memorial Mass held for Deacon Kevin Bellot, C.Ss.R at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Boston, MA.<\/p>\n

Fr. Denise Sweeney who had traveled to Dominica for the funeral delivered a tearful experience of the outpouring of love for Kevin and family.\u00a0 He remarked on the sympathy extended to him by the immigration officer and how remarkable it was to experience the entire island mourning for a son of the soil.<\/p>\n

The life of Deacon Kevin was also celebrated by the Dominican community and friends at St. Katherine Drexel Church, Dorchester, MA on Friday, June 22, 2012 with Fr. Michael Davidson from Jamaica as celebrant.<\/p>\n

Mamah Joseph rendered the Magnificat, one of Kevin’s favorite pieces.<\/p>\n

Kevin and his cousin, Wilma Bellot Thomas shared a sense of humor which evident during the celebration.<\/p>\n

Deacon Bellot died suddenly on June 10 while doing ministry in St. Lucia.<\/p>\n
