The advancement of Dominica\/Morocco relations will be high on the agenda as Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit leads a two-man delegation to the kingdom for an official visit.<\/p>\n

According to a release from the Government Information Service (GIS) the delegation left Dominica on Monday and while in the Kingdom of Morocco talks are expected to be held with King Mohammed VI and for the first time with Prime Minister\u00a0Abdelilah Benkirane, and Saad-Eddine El Othmani Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.<\/p>\n

It is expected that the talks will further strengthen ties between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The GIS release states that Morocco has been making a contribution to Dominica’s agricultural sector through a grant of high grade fertilizer but the flagship project to date is the construction of a 58-room state of the art hotel in Portsmouth between the two governments.<\/p>\n

Dominica now has 31 students undertaking programmes of study in a number of disciplines as part of a Scholarship Programme offered by the Government of Morocco.<\/p>\n
