The Princess Margaret Hospital<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Health Minister Julius Timothy is promising a difference in services in a soon to be revamped Princess Margaret Hospital.<\/p>\n

According to Timothy, the operations at the Princess Margaret Hospital will be restructured and Dominica will have a “relatively new hospital” soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are re-organising the entire hospital and we intend to have a relatively new hospital operating early next year,” he said at a recent public cabinet discussion. “The new hospital is a gift from the Chinese government and the intention is to equip that hospital with the latest state-of-the-art technology.”<\/p>\n

Timothy said the health ministry is in the process of training nurses so that capable staff will be in place to operate the equipment and to perform services at the hospital.<\/p>\n

According to him, a number of health care professionals are also undergoing specialized training as\u00a0part of the improvement of health services on the island.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are now in the process of getting some more specialists. We have sent Dominicans to specialize in oncology, vascular surgery and orthopaedics among a few other fields.
