Since KFC opened in Dominica I loved it and if I could go there everyday to eat, I would. So, I have this weakness for KFC.<\/p>\n
I met this guy about a year and a half ago and I thought we had something going between us. When he asked me where I wanted to go on our first date, I told him let us go to KFC. We did. We bought the food and took it to the Botanic Gardens and had a real good time.<\/p>\n
I was not really interested in sleeping with him as yet since I just wanted to have a boyfriend I could talk to and confide in.<\/p>\n
But after a few dates he became interested in sex to which I gently refused. He did not appear very concerned but then I realized whenever he comes to visit me he always brought a bucket deal from KFC, and another and then another.<\/p>\n
I could not resist this and I fell for it. When I learnt I was pregnant, the visiting became less frequent and the bucket deals stopped.<\/p>\n
I learnt three weeks ago that he is married and I am now completely devastated.<\/p>\n
I don’t even know what to do because I haven’t even told my mom that I am pregnant.<\/p>\n
Any suggestions?<\/p>\n
Fallen<\/strong> Dear Fallen,<\/p>\n If you live with your mom, it is imperative\u00a0 to tell her that you are pregnant. Although she might take it hard, it will be harder for her if she gets the information from off the streets. So you need to have this done sooner than later.<\/p>\n I am not going to condemn you for your mistake for we all make mistakes. I simply hope that you learnt from your mistake of sleeping with a married man and hope that it doesn’t happen again in the future. Make this be a lesson for you.<\/p>\n In terms of the child, you have no choice but to keep and love it. Although the act the led to the child might be a mistake, the child itself should not be considered as such.<\/p>\n There are court systems in Dominica that you can use to make sure the father plays his part in maintaining the child. Use it.
