\nThis is the age of new technology, globalization..a stunning difference from years gone by,
\nMy vibrancy, intelligence I have further progressed.
\nMy keenest interests lie in social networks, acquiring the next best thing\u2026\u2026.
\nThe next big thing to captivate my attention.
\nI do know the traditions but innovation\u2019s got me straying
\nI seek aspiration, inspiration to spark my interest in the retention\u2026
\nThe retention of the golden rules and values my ancestors stood for.
\nMy misled soul craves attention,
\nThe constant shunning of all my ideas the world craves to attain! Do I fit in? Can\u2019t take it anymore,
\nAll I feel is rejection. How can my reflections hold any regard for your laws?!
\nMy curious nature seeks to nurture common desires,
\nWhile my ambition chases some worthy dream.
\nTorn in between, which path will behold my future? What do I require?
\nWhy pursue an education in a remote island that may never accommodate my dreams?
\nWhat hope is there of a future?
\nWhat kind of adult will I become?
\nThe frustration of unemployment leading me to give way to drugs,
\nMy idle hands breed mischief, my toy a gun.
\nSo with a criminal mind I move on,
\nChasing an adornment of jewels of fortune
\nHidden behind a mask of make-up
\nNot knowing my mindset will lead to my doom.
\nTill one day I\u2019ll wake up to realize I\u2019ve wasted so much time\u2026.
\nWasted time trying to uncover the mystery of life,
\nThat I forgot completely who I am,
\nForgot who I ought to be and became a shadow, reflection\u2026someone to fit in.
\nBut I\u2019m someone with tons of ideas, skill and definitely can\u2026
\nDefinitely will be an example if only the right words are spoken to me.
\nYes\u2026\u2026. I am youthfulness\u2026.
\nThat\u2019s no reason to condemn me\u2026
\nAll I need is guidance, empathy, to feel like I\u2019m the best\u2026
\nTeach me to love another rather than slander me becoming an enemy.
\nSo many are falling prone to their selfish desires\u2026\u2026.
\nTrapped in an unending trial phase,
\nEntwined in the bramble, strength is all I require
\nTo mature throughout the days,
\nTo filter global norms, embrace the socio-cultural.
\nThe spiritual things of Yahweh too,
\nFor youthful days are most critical,
