Remember the days
\nWhen man had to boom ride
\nnot that you did not have de money
\nOr it was too expensive
\nYou had spent it buying bakes and accra
\nCoconuts tablets and more
\nFrom the vendors in the school yard<\/p>\n

10 man waiting under the Tamarind Tree
\nWaiting for the perfect ride
\nHeading his way
\nSome flag but no chance
\ntoo much man on de bridge
\nWaiting
\nDe driver no taking chance to stop<\/p>\n

Fights would break out among villages
\nFond Cole and Canefield possa
\nBoy walk home you live just ovea der
\nBut sun was too hot to walk
\nEverybody looking for a cheap ride home<\/p>\n

Remember when you had to travel far
\nBoom ride from La Plain to Roseau
\nsome drivers would make you suffer
\nDem stop and when you get closer
\nThey go drive off
\nRepeating a few times<\/p>\n

Do you remember dem days
\nBooming ride to go home
\nLate night was worse
\nNo body doh stop if they dont know you
\nSo at times you had to walk
\nYea,if you were not a fast runner
\nYou stayed behind<\/p>\n

Some man would run in style
\nDem rasta guys
\nWith a smooth hope flip and in
\nSome man land head first
\nFoot up in de air
\nSome would run along with de van
\ntill he get pulled in<\/p>\n

Some lose the school books
\nHad to be lucky you live a friend behind
\nTo drop it home for you
\nAnd if you came home late
\nYou better have a nice excuse
\nLike de bus had a flat tire
\nOr look lick in your backside<\/p>\n

Yea good ole fun days
