The police say they are conducting investigations into an incident in the Layou River which left one Chinese national dead and another missing.<\/p>\n

According to police PRO, Inspector John Carbon, on June 16 five Chinese national were casting fishing nets in the mouth of the river when two, who were submerged, encountered difficulties since they could not swim.<\/p>\n

Zufu Kun, 60, who resided at Goodwill was fished out of the river in an unconscious state at about 6:20 pm.<\/p>\n

He was taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.<\/p>\n

Inspector Carbon said a search is now ongoing for 24-year-old Yang Kang.<\/p>\n
