Man I tell you that ton-ton can go down with any serious sauce with gumbo (okra) to slide it down….uhhhhh lalala! The best ton-ton in Dca is made in Pte. Soufriere and La Plane. Just ask man like Magel and them boys for Didier in Fond-Bleu……lol. My mouth watering like a river now

A cruise through these eastern villages after 6:00PM resonated with the sound of Pestels driving down the Motor containing yam-pain (breadfruit) or other provisions while mouth watering aroma from the sauce being prepared permeated the evening air. Those were the days, yes, the good old days.

“I AM FOR CAHNGE, ARE U?”
    Assertive, NOT Agressive!

That’s just looks sick! Why would anyone want to mash breadfruit when it can be roasted? Yuck!

Tell the young people back off fast food like pizza, fried foods, hot dogs etc, and go cook some bread fruit with some salt fish with coconut milk, fish with gravy, fried fish, or even butter. They will loose all these weight, have no high blood pressure, diabetes, and over weight. Eat local, eat natural and they will see how healthy they will look with no pre mature diseases.

If they don’t have breadfruit, do it with dasheen, etc. Just typing that make me hungry. This is healthy and cost very little.

I have never seen that anywhere in da so don’t say it is our culture. It may be something our grandparents used to do. Now mashed potatoe is the common thing nowadays and it is done worldwide.

Obviously you don’t know your culture. Guess you are too young to have seen this. Ask your parents for help. Ignorance is not an excuse.

We can still make it happen. Don’t forget our tradition. Forget and we loose our culture, self
    , dignity and pride.
