It’s the bridge over the River Claire. It was damaged during tropical storm Erika. The river is very easy to cross, however, so it is unlikely a replacement would ever be needed.
The trail operations manager and the forestry division should never allow a pic like this to hit the media waves..this is poor promotion for the national trail..remember everyone is reading and seeing this…please repair at the soonest.
Timely photo alerting hikers and tourism officials of the current state of trail infrastructure. By the way, we have not been hearing anything about the Waitukubuli National Trail lately. Has the trail been abandoned or is the forest reclaiming its own.
