yes they oppressed us by sucking the life blood of dominica resources giving it to the queen for her personal development…
they just came to dominica meet people there and invaded it, taking dominica as there personal trophy… to use and dispose as they see fit.. bigotry,,,
these people are the evil they represents..slaves, person trophy, land and all natural resources, personal trophy….

If they had left us on the continent of Africa and did not invade, reap and still control the resources, we would not be accepting aid from them. It would be the other way around. They have become rich by Africa’s resources while some of the native people are suffering. It is time that we say it like it is and stop looking up to these oppressors. If Dominica had resources like Africa, they would also be controlling that too.

Slavery is abhorrent in all its forms and regardless of, who are its victims. However, it would not have happened on the scale it did in Africa without the collusion of its local rulers and as painful as it is for us we must recognize that also. I would recommend that you read up on the the likes of King Tegbesu of Dahomey and |King Alvare of Congo for example. If you have never heard of them I don’t blame you because it does not fit the picture we like to present to the world of us being perpetual victims.

Chupes man. South City, were you born in Africa? Who is stopping you going back there? Use the money Skerrit gave you all for that purpose but I have heard of no one of you making that journey using that money. What did you do,with it? Move on man, I getting fed up with you.

Slavery was bad and wrong. But it was not only the white/European to be blamed. The Africans were the ones who captured and sold the slaves to the whites.

Put Blame where blame should be.

Because the oppressors have taught us to love them and hate ourselves thus hating our race. We have the tendency to uphold white folks and despise our own race. That’s what you call self-hate. That’s another reason why we say this person has good hair and that person has bad hair. When our eyes are opened to reality, we will learn to love ourselves and each other. Why don’t we celebrate each other’s birthday too?
