Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.

Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.

Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.

Dominica News Online also encourages the submission of a variety of photos, ranging from nature shots, people shots, weird shots, interesting human interest shots, and anything ‘newsy

    And to the rest of you who are being negative….. this photo was taken outside of my house on the Soufriere bayfornt… it is a real photo……..!!!!!

    Anyone can have a photo like this removed because they (the pelicans) are always there.
    AND FOR YOU ALL’S INFORMATION…… I DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE PHOTOSHOP….. AND I WONT USE PHOTOSHOP…I BELIEVE IN NATURAL PHOTOGRAPHY….. NOT MATERIALIZED PICS!!!!

    To DNO: i’ll send the rest of them…… to clear all false belief

    i h ve never seen this type of bird in dominica. this means they are an endangered speices in dominica………………stop eating the birds people. eat the other animals that are in abundance…like…..

      How can you have NOT seen this bird here before? I see them all the time! They’re pelicans and they are NOT an endangered speices anywhere in the world.

    Nice pic. I will tell you something though. Experience has taught me that when pelicans, gulls and other seabirds sit on your boat like that, you got loads of bird crap to clean up. Lol. Good luck to the owner.
