Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.
Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.
Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.
Dominica News Online also encourages the submission of a variety of photos, ranging from nature shots, people shots, weird shots, interesting human interest shots, and anything ‘newsy
nice pic,but what i am seeing is the angle where the photographer was standing is not covering enough ground,if the shot was taken from that small hill across from the runway, then the terminal and a wider section of the airport and runway would have given the photo a lot more depth,or maybe a shot from the sky would have displayed more.
Mr Letang you can go to Aircraft Photo Search Engine, after you enter the website and go to (select country). There are a few photos of Melville Airport posted on there but they are very very old photos. It would be nice to see some recent photos there. Thanks in advance if possible.
Mr Elton Letang I am sure that you monitor the responses written about any of your photos, so I’m sure you will check this one.
It would be nice if you could keep taking photos of the airport and the various airlines which land at Melville Hall and have them posted on this website, specifically featuring Dominica. The website is http://www.jetphotos.net. You can check it out yourself.
airliners.net is a lot more popular.
WOW THAT LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE LIGHTED UP AIRPORT IN THE JUNGLE, ANYWAY BEAUTIFUL PIC, AND NEXT TIME DNO, DONT PUT THAT PIC UP AGAIN !!!
Very Nice picture indeed. It would be great if we got some papi lights to compliment the green threshold lights.

Isn’t time the govt of dominica build an international airport. my god that country is so damn backwards it is down right disgusting. There are smaller islands in the region that is doing much better than this. Wake up people and smell the damn coffee.
@Esther shut your dirty mouth you
ESTHER, YOU ARE SO RIGHT, THAT PIC LOOK LIKE AN ABANDONED AIRPORT, ASKING FOR MERCY !!!!
hell nah, i not in that! dey can keep their night landing.
I LANDED ABOUT AFTER 7 IN OCTOBER TRUST ME IT FELT MUCH BETTER THAN WHEN I LANDED IN THE DAY IN DECEMBER
Yeah, you “felt safer” because you landed in pitch darkness. You will feel the same way even if you land in a huge international airport. false security!
