This is the Layou river before that landslide a few years ago. It is located on the west coast of Dominica it seperate hillsbrough and the village by a bidge. The Layou river is the longest and the largest river n Dominica; while the indian river is th deepet.

THANK YOU LORD FOR SUCH BLESSINGS.

DNO compliments to you all for the challenge.Giving Us pictures like this one,so We can search the memory and take time to appreciate so much.

This river appears like the one flowing into the atlantic ocean at Castle Bruce.

We have been there a few times.
It looks as if not many visitors called there recently. Give thanks, since that river is not simple. It can be tricky to many with its rapid changes, especially to non- swimmers.

I said the Layou river but the roots of the trees on the right side cause a problem. To me there is a white railing on the side, or maybe its higer up.

Hello and good morning. I call it Wasting Fresh Water River somewhere in Dominica. Our country is blessed but we don’t made good use of this resource. We re throwing away money into the ocean.

    • December 20, 2013

Hello sorry for the typos. Should say “Don’t make and We are’.

    • DANZIGER
      December 20, 2013

@ Tony, is not the fresh water lake, no sea in Laudat.

      • December 20, 2013

        Danziger.

Hello and good evening my people. I am just saying we are wasting fresh water when we could used it to produce electricity. Anyway after this River is identified and certified by DNO I hope to take a swim there when I come home for carnival.

    • December 22, 2013

@Tony, can you explain how we are throwing money into the ocean?

If you are unable to explain, this is another one of your typos.

      • December 23, 2013

        Observer.

Hello and good morning to you. Well I can tell you two ways we are wasting fresh water which is flowing into the sea and isn’t providing any benefit to us. The first is that we have Three hundred and sixty six Rivers in Dominica and I don’t know of any River that have a power plant which uses the river to turn a turbine and produce electricity. I feel we can have two power plants, one in the North and one in the South that can provide all the electricity and we won’t have any rolling blackouts. The second is that we should be the number exporter of bottle water in the Caribbean because we have the water to export. I am surprise that with so many of our people in the Virgin Islands we can’t come up with a profitable business plan to export water. It’s very painful watching a very important natural resource wasting like that. Once you land at the airport one of the first things you see is a beautiful river just emptying into the sea and I know we can make better use of this resource.
