A big thank you to all our readers who participated in our last Weekend Fun.
Many of you got it right.
The waterfall portrayed in the the photo is actually a temporary one which formed under the Canefield Cliff during the recent heavy rains.
Thanks once again and have a great week.
this is actually under Cane field cliff..it is not a waterfall either and should be looked at.

“I honestly think DNO should not publish such crap. This has nothing to do with the topic of a waterfall and sounds like a child who cannot concentrate or have a mature discussion. When people talk about dumb they should probably look at themself first.”
Anonymous, if you are talking about me considering that you post your message following my own, I think I must tell you that you are dealing with the wrong man!
How can you consider me dumb, when your are an anonymous who cannot identify yourself, you are a nobody, non-existing; not a person; you have noname!
Who are you?
If you are one of the same who gave people like me a Web address to read where you claimed all the islands in the OCES, have a shortage of anesthetics, and when I went and read the article, all it spoke about was a plan for procurement of which I eloquently explain what that entails, if you are one of the same; you are wearing the crown of dumbness!
Francisco Etienne-Dods Telemaque
Francisco Etienne-Dods Telemaque I think that you are so arrogant and you think that you are more than others but we are not better than others in God’s sight. We are all sinners. You like to insult people… You may be educated and was able to be but this doesnot give you the right to look down on people. You always want to show you know it all. Humble yourself my broda!
You does even sound snobbish many of the times – imagine you calling a little fun on DNO – crap! Why can’t we have a little fun like looking to see where that “Waterfall” was located by looking at the picture closely. This I enjoyed though you didnot. The world is not about you alone there are more and lesser persons than you. We are all God’s creation and when we do as he says we become his children. Calm down yourself and humble yourself.
i wonder if you are a man or a shehim
Does DNO ever post the right answer to the Weekend Fun?
nevermind – they answered it

Could this be the waterfall in Mero?
Back in the 1970’s, while walking from Salisbury I saw a beautiful waterfall in Mero. Tall and majestic. It was a great surprise!
Soon after that sighting nearly 40yrs ago, I left Dca. I would love to see it again. I was told it only appears after very heavy rain.
On that rainy day, I walking to my O’Level exams (well, until a bus turned up). Glad I did!

I wish I knew but I gave it a thought. I am too far away to know and name this location. I can inform you it is picturesque, a beautiful sight and a picture worth keeping.

GRANDFOND NEWLY FORMED WATER FALL. Due to all the recent rain we had in Dominica. Now we can boast of another new addition to this most beautiful village. All are welcome, it`s free.
This is from the Morne Daniel Clift close to Ravine Cock area.
That cannot be under Canefield Cliff
Well it is. I saw it there about 2 weekends ago. I was surprised but it looked lovely. I was told there is a dowasco intake up there which was opened for cleaning.
where ever it is must be on the west coast of the isle tho… dry
You who’s name has now become powil Pa, I know you are from the village of Wesley, indulge in broken English if you so desire, however again I will insists that there is no place in Wesley officially named “Powil Pa.”
The name from the location you refer to as powil pa: to me and my generation, and scholastically, and academically educated people of Wesley we know that part of Wesley for more than a hundred years to be Eden Road, and that extend all the way from the old dispensary, Just above the house of Grenfeld Robin to Eden Estate to precisely the home of Reggie (Reginald Armour).
Right opposite to old man Tillson small grocery shop I believed he is now dead, lived a man name d Powell, originally from Marigot he was he and his wife from Wesley were both School teachers in the 1940’s they also had a grocery shop adjacent to their home.
There was a little larger than a foot track leading to his home and shop, which went through peoples yard, and connect to the road we call Top Road, some peasants referred to that track as Powell Pa.
” Pa” to them meant Road.
I agree the peasants may not attended school, and may have had vocabulary, and comprehension problems, but we all should have overcome that in the twenty-first century!
So, if you want to make yourself a fool go right on ahead, and call yourself powil pa if you wish. By the way if you do not believe what I said about Powell, I do not know if Clavey Telemaque is still alive, however she lived in the Powell household, If memory serves me correctly, Powell’s wife was her aunt, Kenneth Telemaque is her brother, talk to him he may state it to you as stated.
As for the one from Marigot who said they are in their office ” Killin” themselves laughing, I believe the word is “killing.”
I do not want to call Marigot and Wesley people dumb, however if I see dumbness in your comments I will fire away at you, feel free to do the same to me!
I am the king!
The king of mud ( the red clay mud) on Hunt Road, right there in Wesley!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

Some please tell me where is the Canefield cliff. Are you all talking about the rock- away cliff? Can`t recall a water fall in Canefield atoll.
it only flows when rainfall is heavy. it does not have a constant water flow
canefield cliff
Right now I afraid of water. Beautiful, healthy and destructive.
Afraid of water? You need water for also bathing. You mean, afraid of heavy rianfall which cause flooding, waterfalls, overflowing rivers and tidal sea waves. These sound more feasible to me.
rainfall
this waterfall was formed a few days ago and it is in Marigot. The people in the village calling it Gordon Falls and the people in the village calling it UWP FALLS. I think the latter name is better. But that fall pretty and tall papa. And the water really nice healthy and clean. I hope all our people and visitors come bathe their.
Thats under the cliff….
ebe you really do not know ur waterfalls wey papa Marigot and you saying it form a few days ago. everytime it rains heavy that waterfall comes alive and under the cliffs NOT MARIGOT
