French nationals injured in weekend accident

A three-year-old French national escaped with minor injuries following a collision of two vehicles driving in opposite directions on the Castle Bruce highway on Saturday morning.

A Courtesy rental vehicle was being driven by a French national, with four other French citizens on board, when it collided with a Toyota Pickup.

According to Public Relations Officer of the Fire and Ambulance Department Courtney Challenger, the Castle Bruce driver and three other passengers on the pickup sustained various injuries to their faces and legs.

Two French nationals and a passenger on the Toyota pickup were transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital. The other accident victims were treated at the Castle Bruce Health Centre.

The Castle Bruce Ambulance responded to the accident at about 9:30 a.m.

This accident occurred on the heels of a road fatality Friday night which caused the demise of Kelvin Toussaint of Good Hope.
