There are many factor leading to these accidents. First we must respect the road and what it gives. Respect other road users and also everything has a limit so we have to try not to overwork our vehicles. We just came out from a major hurricane where the insurance paid so much for damaged vehicles, but the way we are having regular accidents it looks like the funds will run out at those insurance

Although dominica may apear to have alot of accidents there are lots elsewhere.. i strongly believe our authorities should look sharply into making roads safer. I am speak8ng in general. Its the need to ensure that roads which appear to be dangerous should be fitted with guard rails. And with the terrain like we have that should be everywhere.. police cannot be everywhere yet i strongly believe they should be doing a better job in checking the road. We should have an area in government ir otherwise whis deals with getting roads safer. Fixing tge spots that are dangerous etx and not await for things to happen ..people please drive safer.

That is a stupid comment, where you believe you know something when you do not know squat!

Nobody in Dominica have any computer driven car. They are still in the experimental stage in the United States.

Now there might be some cars in Dominica with GPS, which are not necessary, that only give direction drive.

Most cars these days engine are controlled by a “Powertran Control Module (PCM).” It does not replace a driver stepping on the gas and driving the car. However, if and when that module becomes defective one of the first symptoms of operation is that the engine will hesitate, by loosing power.

In some case the engine will get started, however the car or truck will not drive, run whichever you understand better.

But the idea as you suggest computer driven cars in Dominica is false, unless you have one eh!

      Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

WHAT’S Wrong with those drivers in Dominica are they mad or they are stupid? I always wondered sometimes or most of the times these guys connot control themselves by drinking and smoking cannabis stupidly then go driving. This is not at all natural, But as you know most of us black people in the Caribbean don’t have the basic instincts to know how.

So only perfect drivers should get licences to drive in Dominica?
I live in a major city and with 14 lane highways and I see accidents on the road EVERY day. If the local newspaper had to print a story every time there was an accident, there would be no more room for other news.

Dominica is no different than anywhere else. Most drivers are careful, but there are some idiots on the road and we nothing we do can stop that.

Hi, I don’t understand your point, you can be driving carefully on the road and something can still happen.

You sound dumb. Your grammar and punctuation sucks, and you try too hard to sound intelligent. Also, most people in the Caribbean are black, so that statement is irrelevant. It’s even more irrelevant that you chose to generalize black people in the Caribbean based on this one acccident. If there are ANY set of people who can handle whatever drug they introduce to their bodies, and drive it’s Caribbean people. With our roads and the terrains, the fact that people are even able to drive sober is noteworthy. But yea, you sound idiotic saying” us black people in the Caribbean don’t have the basic instincts to know how.” You want company being stupid? Be stupid on your own please. Don’t include other Dominicans. Thanks! Learn to proof read.

The problem with people Dominica is that once the sit in a motor vehicle behind a steering wheel they count themselves special, as if there is something special about driving, which is something any idiot can do!

Some even believe it is a profession. They are so ignorant they do realize that a motor vehicle is also a merchant of death; they drive under the influence of alcohol, driving fast showing off to show people how they can drive.

There is no place in Dominica where anybody should be driving past 35-40 miles per hour, never mind 80 plus miles per hour!

In the United States there are only two places I know the law allow 80 miles per hour, and that is one area in Oklahoma, and between El Passo, and San Antonio Texas otherwise most place one is not allowed to drive past 70 miles per hour.

The general speed limit in the United States is 55 miles per hour; though one can see hundreds of miles ahead in some areas!

A driver who drives very carefully on the road, has to think of protecting himself and also protecting the other driver. There’s always gone a be some mad drivers on the road
