Man injured in Silver Lake accident

A man is now a patient at the Princess Margaret Hospital following a vehicular accident in the Silver Lake area.

Police PRO, Pellam Jno Baptiste said the incident occurred around 7:00 pm on Monday, July 25, 2016, when Alexander Barkwrick lost control of the vehicle he was driving.

Reports indicated the vehicle plunged into a precipice and ended in the river.

DNO was told that residents of the area rushed to the scene to offer assistance.

Jno Baptiste said Barkwick was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was examined by a doctor and admitted

Investigations are ongoing, he said.

    That road needs to be fixed ASAP. It is just too dangerous.

    Sorry to hear..I hope he recovers ok. Kudos to the residents for acting quickly. Their speedy action may have very well saved his life.
