Local telecommunication and cable company, Marpin 2K4 Ltd, announced on Friday that its operations have been fully reconnected with the nation’s power provider, DOMLEC

“This is again proof positive that the company continues to move forward with its current development plans for the future, including a more secure financial base,” the company said in a release.

In late November DOMLEC pulled the plug on the company’s facilities in Morne Daniel and threatened to do the same at the Roseau office.

This followed failure by the company to pay a reported $1.7-million electricity bill to DOMLEC.

Shortly after DOMLEC’s action, the company’s General Manager, Perickson Isidore, was given walking papers.

But on Friday everything appears to be fine at the company. “For this Christmas season Marpin 2K4 Ltd. continues to offer enhanced facilitation for our advertisers, from small businesses to large corporate entities,” the release stated. “Production options are also available including for the popular graphics channels.”

The company said it looks forward to continued patronage and wished all subscribers happy holidays.

Hmmmmmmmm, no explanation as to how this occurred? Was the debt paid or was another promise made to pay it? If it was paid, how was this done? Hmmmmmm

$1.7-million electricity bill, any company in Dominica can burn that amount in short time, because Domlec’s rates are so ridiculously high. Domlec is very bad for business, they have created a hostile business environment in Dominica.

However, it amaises me that Marpin doubled their rates and unable to pay they bill.

Give us a break!!! if Domlec did not threatened to pull the plug on Marpin2k4 they would not have paid or set conditions to pay up. Now all seems to be ok for now just say that! instead of acting like all was well and we the public who pays their salary has to be kept in the dark. That’s the norm in this World of every body like to “CYA” and think we are the fools. Sorry marpin2k4 next time pay your bills on time.

Pericson was not fired! His contract ended and was not renewed! Here is the proof: he was paid notice in lieu of notice.

Since DOMLEC does not belong to WRB they have no commitment to MARPIN who is still part of WRD.
