Didn’t I just read that the Government of Dominica has recently decided to make some sort of investment interest into Liat?

Facts: Liat has flown the Caribbean skies for over 50 years and is still flying and will be still flying for another 50..Liat with all its problems some of their own making beat every competetive airline that try to ground it.. And most if not all have had bigger bank accounts and lower fares that Liat. Yet they ceasing operations and Liat keeps flying on…Does the phrase ” The race is not for the swift but for those you can endure to the end”…God has blessed Liat tremendously…with a safety record 2nd to none….Its time we thank God that although Liat has had some really bad delays and lost baggage record…They are still flying up and down the caribbean skies….the new acronym for LIAT is Lasting In Air Travel…No baddy can stap we….Bravo Liat Brave may God continue to bless and keep you…Now I do have concerns for the jobs of the Redjet workers in these times but I know God will take care of them to…

RedJet has never and cannot service Dominica (at least not yet). Competition can be good but not easy in this business as we have seen a few airlines came then flew away. For other benefactors, let’s just hope that RedJet is only have a bad period.

you need to get your facts straight. they buy into liat thats different from susidizing. its one thing to seat on the outside and run your mouth how an airline should opperate and its something totally different when you get into the game and find out how hard it is.. redjet found out just that. you cant come run an airline like a charity organisation. you have oppeerating cost to consider and all those things. if anything when liat was never properly capitalized in the begining coppled with bad leadership, but no one can deny that without liat we would be lost in the caribbean.

The only reason that Liât is still here and the Others are not, is because of the Governments protectionism of Liât.
If Liât were to do business on an equal , open playing field, it would not survive at all.

The Governments think that they are doing a favour to the people by protecting Liat, but they are not….they are just creating more chaos by creating more unemployment in the region.

Answer me this question please If you invested in something and some else come in and want to not invest with you but in their own thus resulting in direct competition with you. would you just say ok I will let you have a easy way to my territory or you gonna protect your investment to the end?????……You better go on your knees and thank God for Liat…Liat has done more for Caribbean integration than even the Politicians…Liat is a brand that cannot be erased from memory. And we do not have to change our name to get by…Liat is the Caribbean way of life…Now register that in your head

this is just a move to get Redjet out of business and to keep LIAT in the air, since LIAT is supported by the Caribbean governments, and Redjet is privately owned.

Boy these guys know how to play politics when the interests is in their pockets.

i see Dominicans keeping silent on that news item. why aren’t those liat haters commenting. like i said before many have come and gone and liat remains. guess the redjet owners found out first hand that its not as easy as it seemed to get an airline off the ground and running. cudos to you liat for still coming to the aid of those who wish to see you out of the caribbean skies. just immagine what would have happend was there no liat to rescue all you.

It´s amazing that not one Dominica is commenting on this very serious situation that has just taken place. We have to be so careful with these new companies coming to offer us cheap services. I feel sorry for the many travelers who put their trust in this airline and are now tranded wherever. Thank God there is LIAT! N matter what we said about LIAT, it always comes through for us eventually. Let´s hope that that airline can put its house in order and provide the people with the services they promised.
