Breedy was reportedly traveling to Dominica

A Dominican was allegedly caught with cocaine in Barbados when she landed on a flight there from Canada.

Alroy Barbie Breedy, a contestant in the 2016 Canadian Madam Wob, was allegedly caught wth 1.5 kilos of cocaine. She was reportedly heading to Dominica.

Reports are that she is now in jail in Barbados but has made contact with a Dominican lawyer to fight her case.

DNO has been reliably informed that her travel documents have been confiscated by the Bajan authorities.

DNO is seeking further information on this matter.

The Bible says dont judge. it is best to wait to get the details form Miss Breezy directly, people must be very careful. where exactly were these drugs. It could be planted to frame her.
Barbados you dont trust anyone not even your shadow.

This lady has to pray for god to deliver her from this, i wish her well and hope she will be clear of all charges.

Miss Breedy has committed a crime…stupidly too. She has pled guilty and been fined. This is no alleged anymore. DNO has the article all wrong. She did not leave Canada with drugs neither was she on her way to Dominica with drugs. She was returning to Canada with drugs. It’s neither here nor there. The fact is that she has been detained because of her foolishness. Her reason/s for choosing to do this, only she; God and those involved with her know. Let’s however not bask in her demise. For today it’s her, tomorrow could be you or me. I stead let’s use this situation for our own growth and experience to make good sound decisions. Sometimes God allows us to suffer. It causes us to trust him…depend on him and promote our growth.

If she really did that it is questionable why she would. These days and due to terrorism, travelers’ and their luggage are searched, more than ever. Furthermore, there are drug-sniffing dogs at the airport.
Unless she has a contact at the airport she could escape scrutiny. This usually happens with some people. It puzzles me that she would as much as consider taking such a chance.
In recent weeks drug traffickers have been caught. It is all over the news. Why would she take such a chance to bring it into Canada? Furthermore, cocaine can be bought on the streets of Toronto; more expensive I assume. It really puzzles me she would allow herself to do something as that.
If she is really at fault, this is a lesson for her. She may be charged and deported. If she is a naturalized Canadian she will be free to return to Canada. I still wish her well.
Some people plead guilty to shorten the case which will also cost less and they could probably be released sooner

There are 100 others who are waiting patiently to take her place. Cocaine dealing in the Caribbean and Dominica in particular is nothing new. The only question is, how much product will make it to its final destination and how much will be seized in customs?

  7. Anthony P. Isamel
    October 12, 2016

This is a non story. Whenever there’s a demand for a product, be it legal or illegal, someone will ultimately supply the demand for said product. The risk associated for dealing in banned substances includes fine and confine if the said party is proven guilty in a court of law. This is nothing more that the cost of doing business.

Now you understand why Guadeloupe and Martinique put restrictions on Dominica passport holders when those with passports from Antigua and St. Kitts can go there free with the same conditions as when they go to France itself. Antigua is the same neighbour, close to Guadeloupe as we are. Why the worse treatment for us? There must be a reason.

Since so many Dominicans have been caught in recent times with criminal activities abroad especially at airports and see ports on their way to Dominica, I now have to wonder what may have entered in secret on the direct jet flights from the US to Dominica during election time, since those flights were labor voters. You think is voters alone that landed at an airport where all officers are labor power? Just asking cause I have to start to think

This is further proof that the world is looking closely at Dominica, since it got promoted under Skerrit ,as one of the most corrupt countries of the world. Just last week the FBI sold out that 12 gun saga with lots of dangerous ammunition that landed in Dominica and today is another one coming from Canada and got caught in Barbados? I would be shocked if the Bajans did not get a leak from Canada. Is corrupt we corrupt and the world is watching

What the hell did Skerrit ask her to do drugs if in case she had any drugs?. The most foolish statement. If you have no sensible comment read a damn book or better yet do freaking yoga. No one knows if the woman had drugs. How do you know she wasn’t set up? I find it very hard to believe this woman would go through customs in Canada with drugs and dont get caught. Leave Skerrit the hell alone.

It’s interesting, it would be important to know where the drugs were when she got caught, was it in her carry-on, her luggage, her purse, or on her personally.
How did this pass through Canada. Innocent until proven guilty. You can’t trust people these days, keep your eyes on your luggage at all times. If she did this may others learn a lesson from this. Be satisfy with what you have.
It’s better not to have and to be free, instead of being locked away.

    • budman
      October 11, 2016

      four things quickly:

      1. drugs pass through every port in every country of the world. no port is foolproof.

      2. sometimes the port of origin already knows the person has drugs and tips off the receiving port which could be the case here.

      3. you can’t possibly keep your eyes on your luggage at all times. once its checked in, you are at the mercy of the handlers in the back.
      4. as much as possible PACK YOUR OWN BAGS.

@real possie, these days under Skerrit all tides have changed. The poor have gotten much poorer and people doing all kinds of crazy things to pay their bills since the only form of income is the sale of passports and you have to be a Nanthan, Skerrit, Lawrence, Burton, Raphael or friends of the establishment to be able to sell passports, and very few are. You think people can survive under the “Never, Ever, Prosper (NEP)” of Skerrit? So yes these days people will get cocaine and all sorts of illegal things from anywhere in the world, expecting to pass through the Labor FREE Port called the airport, where all none supporters of the government were transferred to other locations which will pave the way for friends to come in with just about anything.

True…earlier this year upon departure from Dominica I encountered that request to search my bag behind closed doors. Imagine threatened that I’d not be put on that flight. Refused to unlock my bag to authorise that search cause it was not justified. It is your right to refuse your bag being searched outside your presence…request the supervisor if you must and ensure the search is conducted in your presence. Use locks on your luggage at all times….if these locks have been broken the airline is responsible if anything is amiss.

        October 12, 2016

You did right! Unbelievable they would do something as that as if you have no rights. The nerve of them! What were they up to, to also steal something from your luggage? Shame on them! This is how they could plant something illegal in your luggage without your knowledge.
Did you not report it and in writing to the higher up boss?
If they tried it on you, they could do likewise to others who are timid and afraid of them.
If they ever charge you overweight, if it is especially an exorbitant sum, ask for a receipt with the letterhead.

    • Face the Truth
      October 12, 2016

Is this something new? Their regulations should not allow it. The luggage should be opened in the travelers’ presence. They could use their dogs to sniff the luggage without opening them.
Imagine if this happened to me and others who do not smoke anything. How could we defend ourselves?
Anyway the luggage should be locked and the travelers have their key. They cannot/ should not ask for the keys and open their luggage out of their sight. If they do they are up to something unscrupulous.
I would be the first person to say NO! Actually shout it out and ask to speak to the manager. I do not joke. I would ask them, for what? I would make them hop and later write them in no uncertain terms. Sue them too.
I am a Dominican-Canadian. I know my rights. They won’t be able to push me around.

ADMIN: Again, for the millionth time, the laws of Dominica prohibit the publication of photos and names of those charged with sexual crimes unless convicted. How many times do we have to repeat this?

I think it’s fortunate that she was caught. We don’t need any more of that white death in our country or region, ravaging our young people and escalating the violence and crime rate. If she is found guilty, I hope the maximum sentence is given.

I am unable to comprehend that, knowing few people, if none at all get away with transporting illegal drugs in their luggage, that she would have taken that chance.
How many of you stated that when you travel, you do not lock your luggage? I have stated it is not a good idea. It could have happened that her luggage was unlocked. Someone could have slipped the illegal drug in it. I hope this is what occurred.
Why was the illegal drug not detected at point of departure, in Canada? If it was in her luggage then, I am surprised it was not.
Let us hope it was not planted at the Canadian or Barbados terminal.
I feel sorry for her. Let us place ourselves in her situation. For her sake, I really hope she is innocent.
It is not wise to accept a sealed package for anyone, not knowing what is contained in it.
God is merciful. May the Lord see her through this.

I don’t know if it is Skerritt fault or not, but let this be a lesson for him to do his research before he associates himself with organizations which have ….. agenda. Perhaps he should have held a proper town hall meeting with Torontonians at large instead of the clandestine meeting with just a select few from Wesley. But then again, perhaps its the tail wagging the dog. I hope the executive of MADAM WOB DWIYET CANADA INC and their supporters see it fit to have a fundraiser to help their friend with her legal bill. Afterall, a friend in need is a friend in deed. That being said, it is left to be seen, considering their quick action to de-tag her from all their Facebook posts and websites and delete all her pictures, including those with Skerritt. Why would they publish Peter St Jean name? Laws of Dominica prohibit the publication of people’s name unless they are caught and charged. To my knowledge St. Jean was never charged for anything. The laws of Dominica also prohibit the publication of the names of minors.

So take several seats and let the people do their job. Geez

I concur. Some stories leaving the site and we never see a picture of the accused but they quick to post other people’s pictures……..as a media house DNO you must not be bias. Expose one, expose all.

        October 12, 2016

No Admin, I don’t agree in this day and age you can always find a pic of an accused, even from the Police. If we could get from them the full report of a minor victim of sexual abuse we can get a pic. Secondly these archaic laws in Dominica need to be amended. I fully agree that the picture of the victim even an adult should not be posted but not the accused. Sometimes there is no direct relation between the accused and victim and we want to know who those punks are so that we can be cautious of them.

When you are convicted of dealing drugs, you lose all your rights to privacy. That is the risk you take. If you want your privacy, obey the law.

You are right. But we as humans tend to be envious of those that seem to “have it all” so maybe that’s why lucky said it that way.

Just about 2 weeks ago here in the VI they arrest 10 women who stole over $200,000.00 of tax money. And let me tell u…when you see these women in the street is razor!! sharp! hair and nails always do…lol. Its something else how some people want to live too high above their means.

      @DC
I call B.S. on your plea to not castigate because we are all humans. Animals don’t commit wrong or evil – Humans commit Evil. And when humans commit wrong or evil, we have a shared responsibility/obligation to stand up as a society and condemn it. And the worst kind of evil is committed when people who have the voice to speak up in condemnation chose to remain silent.

Family members do not turn your back on your love one i.e (if you’re sure your other loved ones wouldn’t have been given, introduced, influenced to partake in consuming from that very same drug (if she is indeed guilty)
let us not castigate, remember we are all humans; (being a human does not give us the right to help destroy other humans lives) if she is indeed guilty .
Call on the Lord at this trying time ( so because the Good Lord is a forgiving Lord, should we assume that he don’t actually see when we do the wrong things ) the Good Lord is there all the time , he sees it all,he allows it to happen for what ever reasons we shall never know, but i personally believe ,if she is indeed guilty the same Good Lord would be happy that the drugs were intercepted before getting to some young lives in Dominica,,some unfortunate niece, nephew, fren, chile, who see aunty coming from Canada looking nice and happy, so whatever she gives me or advice me must be…
