Watson was shot dead in Barbados

A Dominican, who migrated to Barbados, about ten years ago has been shot dead on that island.

Edward ‘Eddie’ Watson was killed between 1:30 and 1:45 Monday afternoon while working at a private residence at Golden Plover Road, Inch Marlow, Christ Church, according to the Barbados Today.

The newspaper reports that neighbors said they heard loud explosions and Watson was later discovered face down in a patio with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg.

He was in the planning stages of marrying his girlfriend of three years when the incident took place.

Watson was described as hard working and down to earth and those who knew him are trying to understand why he was killed in such a manner.

How sad! Guns all over the world; most used to commit crimes/murders. People who commit murder and also harm others in anyway should tremble. Their day will come when they will give God an account of any harm they did to others. Worst yet for taking a life.
A hardworking man is murdered. To note he would soon be married.
It is difficult for the family and fiancée to bear. Heartfelt sympathy to them. Be strong. God is with you especially at this time.
We would like to know how he happened to be murdered and the reason.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace. Amen!

We grew up in Colihaut together, always hard working. Later he moved to Mahaut with his mom and continued to work hard to help her. May your soul rest in peace and the murderer caught and brought to justice.

It is sad that a hardworking and quiet individual could be shot dead in cold blood. I do pray that the perpetrator will get caught for this crime.
May God continue to strengthen your family and others who similarly have lost loved ones.
Their blood is crying out to God for justice.

How did you arrive at that, “Bajans don’t like us?” What caused you to state that?
From my point of view, that is not true. I know some Bajans. I have spent time in Barbados on more than one occasion at the home of Bajans.and was well-treated.
Did you state this based on your experience? There are D/cans residing in B/dos. Some are married to Bajans. If you have had a bad experience, everyone’s experience is not the same.

How sad. These days it seems as though Dominicans are targeted in Barbados man? Last week it was an alleged Dominican woman that got arrested in Barbados with Cocaine and less than a week later a Dominican shot dead man. What have done to them? Bajans are free in Dominica. In fact if one does not know they might even think Hartley Henry of Barbados is the president of Dominica. RIP my friend Eddie.

So if the authorities apprehend a person who is carrying drugs, it means they are targeting Dominicans?

Why don’t some of you imbeciles just read and keep your opinions to yourselves?

I don’t get how what you are saying relates to this story. From what I read this man was a hard working man working on a private residence trying to make an honest living.

Back in the day there was less Dominicans outside which means less chances of being involved in crime

Nowadays = much more Dominicans outside (Like refugees fleeing their country) which means more chances of being involved in crime.

It’s pretty simple Dominicans are mass migrating probably more than any other nation on the planet, if you look at the % of the population that left the Island in the past 10 years.
