Could somebody state the REAL reason for this man’s hasty departure. I smell a RAT. These men don’t have principles so they won’t resign on principle it has more to that, time will tell.

Two Years, yea TWO YEARS have passed and the dual citizenship cas, which the Chief Justice said should be dealt with expeditiously (quickly)is not done with yet. Another General Election is only Two years away, it could also be called before that time, and that dual citizenship case, involving Skerritt and St. Jean, is in no way close to being resolved.

Wouldn’t Dominicans be correct in concluding that the Courts have failed us Big time in that case? Suspicions and speculations abound. TECHNICALITIES? In other jurisdictions in the Caribbean, for example, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Jamaica similar cases have been dealt with in a more timely manner and without such speculations.

WE all wait again to see how quickly that classic case will be dealt with by the Apellate court of the Eastern Caribbean as well as the outcome. Many familiar with such cases in the Caribbean, and who have been following the deliberations in the dual citizenship case in Dominica, claim that our Constitution have been dealt a savage blow.

Maybe it’s a good thing. We need experienced, non-biased and progressive Justices to sit on the Eastern Caribbean States’ Supreme Court benches. No more legislating on the benches, no more loyalty to the politicians who appoint them, and we want strict adherent to the Constitution of individual States as it applies. Hope the result will be a step in the right direction.

Dream on the next appointee will be hand picked by the very same politicians. Dude it’s a vicious cycle. Only the people can stop this trend. There is someone a judge just waiting to continue the political agenda of the OECS politicians in power.

Wonder why this dude decided to resign? Time will tell. just think of the way the justice system has been dispensing justice. It is not a surprise and be assured that the G. Tom saga is all part of the fiasco. I hope that one day justice in the OECS will not be up for the highest bid
