Two men are currently nursing serious injuries at the country’s main hospital after sustaining stab wounds during the November 5th jump up activity.
Acting Police Public Relations Officer Inspector Richmond Valentine said at about 8:30 pm on Monday, 25-year-old Sigal Trocard of Pottersville was involved in an altercation with another man on Cork Street, which resulted in Sigal sustaining a stab wound to his abdomen.
“He was transported to the Princes Margaret Hospital and soon after taken to the theater for surgery,” he said.
Also on Monday, about 9:00 pm, Elvis Ducreay, 26, sustained a stab wound to his abdomen.
He was transported to the PMH and admitted.
“Elvis said he was standing on Great George Street when he was stabbed by an unidentified man,” Valantine said.

This November 5th jump up is unnecessary and uncalled for. Each year there are more fights and gang wars. It needs to be abolished. It adds no value to the culture. Those guys who seem to want to enjoy that jump up do not even participate in the community work day.

I don’t think Dominicans deserve another day to fete. There are always rogue elements who use these ”blockos” and ”jump-ups” to do harm. Second, Dominicans should be working more not less. Productivity is too low, no wonder the country is not increasing its income and rely instead on foreign aid.

The court now need to send a very very strong message to these guy that think they will do things and get away. The court now need to look at the system and send them guys to hard hard hard labour and bring back the HANGING FOR THE GUY THAT JUST KILL THE LADY JUST LIKE THAT. They need to HING some of these people to send a very very stronge message to there homes cars roadside boats and where ever they are that they know the law is there alive and we will use it on them.
