      @ Deportee

Do you know the Ten Commandments of God? Two of them are, “Thou shalt not steal” and “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors’ goods.” You stand a good chance and an immediate one of going to Hell for stealing, violating God’s Commandments which are serious offences against Him and the Law of the land. They are mortal/grievous sins.
Find work to do. Surely, there is something you can do and also think of – to do – to legally get paid.
Some people are habitual thieves. It appears that they may never be rehabilitated and are a menace to society. If caught, they should be imprisoned for life, until they die.
Thieves cost their victims exorbitant sums of money at that for repair of their damaged property and purchasing additional goods which they stole. They have no love and no conscience. Furthermore the cost of purchasing items will increase which will be passed on to customers, their very own family. Have you ever thought of that?
The Courts should take this into consideration when granting them bail, charging and sentencing them. Were you deported? Why were you deported? If you are an authentic deportee, you should have conducted yourself in a lawful manner and you would not be deported.
There are also some people who are deported because they do not have valid reasons why the government of a country should grant them resident status. Some of them migrated illegally, i.e., they were not landed residents. What category do you fall into?

You are being negative. If everyone had your mind, nothing would ever be done and accomplished.
Worship God and pray to Him. Always do good and you will be successful in the land. Patience and perseverance are necessary.
Prior to opening a business, give it a good thought and if it may be a product that will interest consumers. Then pray to God, even prior to any undertaking.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “For human beings it is impossible but with God all things are possible.”
Trust in God. Do what you can and are able to do. Be confident.
Holy Scripture: All things work for good to those who love God.

Just so you guys know, it isn’t high school or college graduates who are committing these robberies. So the idea that jobs are scarce for graduates is – while true – not the determining factor in these robberies or the drug trade or murders, etc.

skerrit must realize, people are loosing their jobs, the yout when they get out of school cant get jobs on the market, the young men standing on the block doing nothing, the people are hungry ,and crying for help while the big fish filling their pockets, what do you expect in a country where corruption starts from the top, we must steal to survive.

Keep blaming the government for lazy people who have no imagination.

I was just talking to this lady a few nights ago. She said she is so busy in Dominica. She has a little plot of land, but she grows a variety of crops to make some money.

Just sit allu ass in Rosean and think food and money will miraculously drop into allu pockets. Then complain Chinese are taking over DOminica. The Arabs came and did well, now the Chinese are doing the same. All we keep doing is bitching and complaining and doing nothing to make ourselves better. Some of us are so frigging unimaginative, it is unbelievable.

As we used to say back in the day, Anonymous, “If I was close to you, I would shake your big toe.”

I live in foreign, but I go home 3 or 4 times a year. I have to agree that there is an abundance of opportunities for those wanting to take the chance, and having the will, to improve themselves.

Trouble is, we’ve become a dependent people. Dominicans tend to look a gift horse in the mouth. That is prinpally our trouble.

Instead of basing conclusions on those we see on the block hanging out as we traverse the highways, search out the small, local entrepreneurs who are making things happen in their own small ways. You will find that they are supremely hard working and quite satisfied with their hard-earned efforts.

      @ Valley Rat

What type of news do you read and also on the Internet? Are you not aware that unemployment exists in every country of the world? People just have to keep prodding on.
Dominica is in a much better position today than in previous years.
In those days if they were employed and lost their jobs they received no financial compensation from the government or employers. Some of them who were wrongfully dismissed/fired did not consider suing their employers.
Today, times have changed and people are pursuing their rights.
Keep in mind, God help those who help themselves. They can find something to do. As I always say, pray to God for guidance. Ask Him humbly, what shall I do Lord and please help me. Believe me, God comes to the rescue and in many ways, sooner than we expect. Spiritual enlightenment is required to comprehend and accept this.

You are so silly. The Police work the required amount of time that they are scheduled to work.
The Police cannot be everywhere to protect people and their property. God protects. Ask Him for protection which He will be too happy to extend.
Keep in mind that there is an evil force above those criminals that is influencing them. If you comprehend this you will not make derogatory comments about the Police. Your statement is unfair to them and is uncalled for.
