Dominica’s 35th anniversary of independence kicked off on Friday evening at an opening ceremony on the Bay Front.
There were speeches from various officials and cultural performances by groups from around the island.
Independence is being celebrated this year under the theme: “One Mission One Dominica: Celebrating 35.”
