According to a release, the activity occurred on the 19th and 20th of May 2017.

“Everyone passed and I am so proud of all the students,” Dominican Martial Artist Shihan Shannah Robin said. “I want to say special thanks to the parents of the Universal Martial Arts Academy for their constant support and their seriousness that they have made in their children development.”

Robin went on to say that as the founder and owner of the Universal Martial Arts Robin Ryu Academy, “I must say I was impressed with the overall performance of the students.”

He revealed that on Thursday 1st of June 2017 the academy will celebrate its second anniversary as an independent martial arts system, “that belong to us Dominicans with an international standard.”

Robin said the students will receive their new belt on that day to celebrate the academy’s greatness and independence.

CONGRATULATIONS to all those who graded. I pray more and more success to you all – not just in Martial Arts but in everything you do that is noble and all that you all are inspired to do that is uplifting to yourselves, community and country.

Congrats to you Shihan Shannah Robin. You are a great teacher. This is just the very beginning – the best is yet to unfold. Robin Ryu is becoming International already because the Wushu Suki Master Alleyne is following Robin Ryu closely on Social Media and he is very impressed. He spoke to me after his return from conducting grading in Brazil & Trinidad.

Dominica must cherish Shihan Robin as a Dominican treasure because of what he has achieved and what he is doing for our youth. So proud of the recognition that was given to him with the bestowing of the Medal of Honour Award by the President of Dominica.

From me as one of your loyal student of the Martial Arts, I wish all the best and success Shihan Robin.

For the avoidance of doubt, the medal referred to is the Service Medal of Honour.
