    Congratulations. Parrilon.
I know you would have done much better if given the opportunity as a levels are not being offered in the schools…rather there is an emphasis on the DSC.
when my son left sma as a top student having achieved award for academic excellence in 4th form he got the shock to realize his classmates in Trinidad were not satisfied having achieved 10- 15 distinctions as practice in the january exams.
One of his friends got 22 distinctions in 2016 cape 2. Lol he had to do it without his dad knowing. As his dad had forbidden him from doing more than 15.
    Keep up the good work.

Congratulations to all the A level students. We friends and parents know that you all worked extremely hard however the college should ensure that students have lab facilities. In addition the A levels and college exams coincide which means that students have up to 5 exams in one day

I truly don’t mean to be negative but the results for second and third place would not have even made it on the list in my day…in fact I received an A, 2 Bs and a C at A’Levels in 1998 and that was far from the top results…idk but something doesn’t sound right…nonetheless congratulations to all the students!!!!

I’m sure you did not have to do 3 associate degrees at the same time and have to do 21 exams in a week and a half.

I agree! What is happening to the standards of the A level exam! In addition, where are the science subjects? This is a troubling trend

Congratulations to Johnson, Parillon and Vital and a special congratulations also to the other students who sat the Cambridge Examinations.

Now, I talk as an educator. We as a nation still have a lot of work to do with our students. We have been for years struggling with Mathematics and over the years we have seen a difference in that subject – especially on the CSEC level, but it does not stop there as more and more our students are aiming for higher educational goals. If D’s and C’s are the best we can produce among our students – this clearly shows that we teachers, students, parents and all Dominica must pull together as a village to say, “yes! we have our work cut out for us and we still have a lot to be done to help our students do better…”

We further urge our students to not stop there, but keep aiming for the stars. Love you guys!

    Congratulations.
Just by comparison my son left Dominica because the currupt [email protected] and Eastern Caribbean supreme Court and dominica police refused to uphold a high court judgement and restraining order plus 3 bail orders to stop violent attacks on my wife and children. God allowed him to be admitted into medical school based on his 5 distinctions at cape1. When Satan tries to destroy. God works for those who love Him.

The 3rd top performer received 2 D’s and a C and is a top performer…..Gone are my days at CDCC…..I would have been a top performer as well…however, in my days, I was far with my 1A and 3B as others were rocking A’s only. My point, there is something fundamentally wrong with our education today. Our modern youth even with a library (google) and a teach-me-all (Y-tube) at their fiinger tips, compare to in my days where these tools were not even a thought, are performing badly; hence, the need to revamp the system….Things are really bad, before Science students were the Island Scholars; no science student made the cut…that’s telling.

Congratulations to you Al, your family and the community from which you come, all of whom having contributed in varying degrees to this achievement. This is not an end in itself but rather, marks the beginning of the most demanding phase of your journey ithrough academia.
Congrats also to Ms Johnson and Vital.

Okay then, you have to understand while doing college degrees (Mr Parillon was doing Computer Science, Mathematics and Accounting which all have heavy course work) and still trying to juggle A levels plus your exams and class work is a hefty task for anyone. At the college (if you cared to find out) then you’ll see they barely offer classes for other A level subjects outside the sciences business subjects. The young lady most likely did the other subjects on her own. High school prepares us for CXC which is the main exam at the end of the tunnel. In college it is not the same as doing A levels is a choice so degree course work is not engineered towards the rigourous A level syllabus. So these young people did an exceptional job with what little resources and time they had.
