Five students among top regional CSEC 2015 performers

cxcFive Dominican students are among the top ten in the region, on the CXC June, 2015 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Merit List, in three subject areas.

The Caribbean Examinations Council, based in Barbados, released the CSEC Merit list by subject earlier this month.

Myinka A Jno Baptiste of the Dominica Grammar School, ranks 5th in the region in Agricultural Science.

Leic Damien Aaron Charles (2nd), Sherma Prince (3rd) and Maldini Skihander Royer (7th) of the Portsmouth Secondary School feature in the top ten performers in the region in Physical Education and Sport.

Adiyah O.S Balthazar of the Convent High School is ranked 5th on the list of top ten performers in Human and Social Biology in the region.

The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development congratulates the students for their exceptional performances, which have ranked them among the top students in the region in their respective subject areas.

    Congrats to our local students.

    Shared this article last week. In fact I always go through the CXC report to see how our local students do.

    Obviously Trinidad, Jamaica and Barbados are doing something that the other islands are not doing or are unaware of. Notwithstanding their population, I believe we are lacking in preparing our students for CXC.

    Not event our overall top-performers are in the top tier.
