Managing Director of Institutional Development and Educational Advancement (IDEA), Thecla Fitz, has donated a computer, desk and chair to Operation Youth Quake after learning through a news report last December that the facility was burglarised and a computer was stolen.

According to a press release, Fitz said she made the donation to demonstrate her belief in educational advancement.

“Having learnt that the institution is caring for and providing rehabilitation and educational developing opportunities for children and young adults who are homeless, have suffered abuses of all types, orphaned or young offenders, she thought she should quickly respond to assist the organization in replacing their stolen equipment to continue their mandate,” the press statement said.

After making the donation on Dec. 14, 2010, Fitz promised to adopt the institution “as one way of giving back to the community and her own appreciation to the many blessings she receives from God daily”.

Fitz also indicated that she will be on a private campaign with her business associates to encourage them to assist the operations of Operation Youth Quake.

I too am a victim of computer theft. Replacing the equipment is sometimes easy. But it the information on that machine that you lose.. that is sometimes irreplaceable. That said, thumbs up to Institutional Development and Educational Advancement (IDEA),
