NYC to host General Assembly under the theme “Embracing the Opportunities of Youth Development and Leadership”

Roseau, Dominica. Wednesday 13th July, 2011. The National Youth Council of Dominica is hosting its General Assembly on Saturday 16th July, 2011 at the Grand Bay Primary School, Highland, Grand Bay from 10:00 a.m.

The keynote address at the Assembly will be delivered by 2011 Calypso Monarch, Tasha Peltier.  The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Miss Justina Charles will also deliver an address as well as officials from the Youth Development Division and the National Youth Council of Dominica.

The major highlights of the General Assembly include the President’s report for 2009- 2011 and Elections of the National Executive for the next two-year term 2011 – 2013.

In light of this, the National Executive invites all young people to participate in the General Assembly and elections at the Grand Bay Primary School.

The Executive would like to thank the youth of Dominica for bestowing upon them the responsibility to advocate and work on their behalf and offer sincere thanks for their interest, support and collaboration.
