Thieves break into Roseau preschool

The thieves gained entrance through the principal’s office door

The principal of a preschool located in Roseau is expressing sadness and frustration over burglaries taking place at the learning institution.

Staff arrived at the school, which DNO cannot disclose, on Monday morning to discover that the main door to the principal’s office was broken.

DNO understands this is the second burglary at the school this month.

In the latest break-in, the thieves helped themselves to snacks collected for the students’ Christmas party, items from the fridge, toilet paper, paper towel, bleach, cleaning supplies among other items.

The principal said it is surprising that the school has become a target of burglary because for many years it has been operating without such problem.

The matter has been reported to the police who are carrying out investigations into the matter.

No one has been arrested in the matter so far.

DNO will continue to follow that story.

They left the hammer? The police should take fingerprints on it. Of course, if they did not wear a glove. Fingerprints should be taken on the door and other areas where the thieves went.
That school needs a security and alarm system.
Thieves, one day you will pay for your heartless action of trespassing, damage to property and thievery. You will do well to cease your evil actions. Have a heart for the children. You were once a child. Consider how the children of all feel that their Christmas Party snacks were stolen by you, an adult.
Shame on you! Thou shalt Not Steal! It is a grievous/mortal crime.
God saw you. He knows you and what you did,. He knows where you live and wherever you go. You cannot hide from Him. Time will take care of you. No escape for you.

Thank you! I always try my utmost to write to the best of my ability.
Whenever I decide to comment, I really do not know what will come from my head/mind through my fingers on the keyboard. I can only attribute it to the Lord, who enlightens. :)
The US Catholic Radio is usually on. There are excellent programs also call-in ones, talk shows on relevant matters or the The Holy Mass or the Holy Rosary, transmitted from the Buffalo area. This may account for what and how I write. God also multiplies the talent. It is said, give Him an inch, He will take a foot and more. That’s our God. :)
As I write I am hearing what is broadcasted. It also helps to calm the nerve and generate much peace and tranquility. :)
Our Lord said, in all things give God due thanks and praise. And so I thank Him and thank You for the compliment.
        God bless!

I’m getting older and a bit wiser; and at this stage I’m slow to past judgment on others. So, I’ll rather call this incident a “mental” case. He forgot to take his medicine.

They left the hammer? great! Dust for fingerprints!!!

Oh wait…instead of equipping and training our police officers with the tools necessary to do the jobs and to keep our schools and communities safe we spend millions to bring down a guy to sing us some gospel for three hours.
*Sips tea* But that ain’t none of my business

There are some real professional thieves on DA and they have the skills to bump locks and gain entry into deadbolted residences. This looks like a vocie job. And the police……….well they only take a report and that is the end of it. No property recovery. There won\’t be any recovery in this case as the evidence will be eaten and used. Things are only going to get worse as more people have no money to buy food or toilet paper. They take from any place that they know has what they want…….food and basics. It should come as no surprise that a police state will come into being in a short period of time from now.

People’s poverty status give them no reason to steal. Excuses should not be made for those who commit crimes such as stealing from their fellow people. They may be better off financially than you. Furthermore, if they go about stealing from nationals and are not yet caught.
Thieves do not care from whom they steal, who they hurt and cause them to grieve over their stolen items.
Did you read they also stole the children’s Christmas Party snacks? Do they not have children of their own that they went into a school to steal?
God is not compassionate and merciful about the thefts they commit and breaking into the school twice. It is a mark on them and against them which one day they will pay for.

  6. November 30, 2015

So sad, no one is off limits for those malcontents, flush them out where ever they maybe, 99days for the volere one Day for the police. Just note the items reported stolen, suspect{S} not far, how long not long.

You mean things that bad in DA? Fellas breaking a school to make grocery shopping

  13. November 30, 2015

I’m really glad I’m not going to have to try to explain to St. Peter why I stole Christmas party items from preschoolers.

You may have something else, or a few matters to explain to St. Peter. Let your conscience be your guide, according to the Ten Commandments.

I did not realize things were that hard in Dominica. I know it can be tough to make a living in DA, but to rob a ore-school? That is like taking food from a baby.

    November 30, 2015

So why the name of the school can’t be published. At least if the public know person in the area or thoes passing by could always cast an eye. Keep it a secret. The thieves will continue to come back.

Sorry that happened but why can DNO not identify that school? Is it a state secret like most everything else?

    • amindom
      December 1, 2015

Most likely, the school asked not to be named at this time or the police who are(cough cough) “investigating.
