Dominica’s Next Super Model Inc. (DNSM) is now online with a new website.
Founder and CEO of DNSM, Ruth Augustine, told DNO that the website will provide more exposure to models and create a platform for various businesses that are in search of models.
“The goal of the website is for the international market and for those who are not on the social network,” she said.
The website, she said, will take DNSM to a next level “where we are actually going to work with the models even after the show so they could be booked for different jobs.”
It contains information on all models working with DNSM.
“We want to get the reach of the people because Facebook, the social networks and words of mouth cannot do it all,” Augustine explained. “You have to have a foundation and a base and that’s why the website came about.”
She stated the objective of DNSM is to assist and inspire ladies and men, who are interested in being in the creative industry and want to express themselves.
“So it is all rounded, and not only that, at DNSM we are going to be like almost an agency, so we could actually have both male and female ready for the outside world,” she noted.
She stated that the organization is being successful because contracts are already coming in.
“We just got a contact from Suriname inviting the winner (of the second DNSM) to come on the 31st (April) to a fashion show,” she stated.
The second staging of DNSM is scheduled for May 10 and Augustine is calling on business owners and private individuals to come on board.
“I have been seeking for sponsorship leading up to the show itself and I am not getting good positive support in terms of assisting with the event and the ladies do need the support,” she noted. “I would like to encourage them to get on the website and donate. It could be US$ 20, anything they think they can donate.”
The winner of the second staging of DNSM will win a trip to New York and about $5,000 in sponsorship is needed, according to Augustine.
Great very proud keep up the good work I seriously look forward to do some business with you I am a model myself
Trip to New York… i shouldve listened to the people and take part. lol. Sigh. Next Year.
so funny…you made press-release and didn’t provide website address…you ask the donation and don’t provide website….very Dominican way very…..
but what is that for me this cost more than queen show.. Question what are all these companies such as these doing with the funds generated from these events are this companies considered non profit or for profit i’m just concern every time something of this nature comes up urging for sponsorship but what has been done with the funds from perivous show.. just a question
Positive people doing positive things. I’ll be there in VIP. Good Luck.
Positive Vibes and needs all the support. Is there a phone number, or an account number for those who are not tech savvy and probably like to do it the old way.
This is a great venture and opportunity to showcase young and aspiring models(male/female)of DA.I must say cuddos to the organizers.I am just wondering why aren’t the sponsors already lined. The event is in it’s second year almost a month away and they are still asking for sponsorship…I think more planning is needed to make this event bigger and better. My opinion is that everything should be in place first that
Well done Ruth!
