Who did these girls’s make-up!!?. And the jewellery?. It’s looking gaudy. To the make-up artiste/stylist, please do a crash course before you present these girls on the day of the competition. We are not seeing their beauty being accentuated. Instead they are looking as if there going to perform at a circus.!

Apparently Dominica have too much professional make up artists when all of allu is the dam same with allu stretch eyebrows and bright color lip sticks stupess… plenty of allu cannot wash half a clothes basket of clothes but sit down talking about face powder….

All the girls are beautiful queens. I wish them all the best.

    Dear Sponsors,

You see how early the girls come out, don’t wait for the passport sellers to sponsor. Local businesses can do their part and sponsor as early as possible.

    October 3, 2016

This is not Miss Dominica show, its Miss Roseau. Are the promoters so lazy that they cannot find girls around the country. Sad day for Dominica!

    • Tell the Truth
      October 3, 2016

Word it differently. Are the girls from around the country not interested? Or probably they applied but were not chosen, i.e., not qualified. Give it a thought.

But I cannot understand some people. Queen show is not a popularity contest everybody knows that. But your first presentation of one self to the public has to make a very big impact. So if the public saw only one girl displayed all the qualities that one are looking for in a Queen so be it.

Being Tall, Short, Fat, Slim, crooked, slanting, up-sided down, are not in the criteria when selecting the young ladies for the competition.

The General public who supports the young lady are not the judges.

Some Dominicans too not easy. All you start already to say who people want for queen. Every year is the same talk. Get to the programme and change that stupid talk. The best person wins the show at the end of the night.

I see only 2 girls with regional potential and one of them is too short for my liking!! It seems the island has already determined whom will be queen; based on the launching and I think its unfair and discouraging to the other girls in the show. Miss Dominica Is not a popularity contest and I encourage all the young ladies to remain focus and not be distracted by the hype of one contestant.

@ Pageant Guru: I remember the same thing was said about Tasia, oh she not pretty, blah blah blah…and look she win the Jaycees crown on all you….

      October 3, 2016

When Leslassa Shillingford was the one people liked they had no problem.Leave people children alone. If the public recognises good representation in a person they will support the girl. Obviously your girl is not as popular so you bitter..Take a few sits and let people children live their lives. Allu start. BON

Stay in school, ladies!!! Get de paper (Degree) not de crown.

    • hmm
      October 3, 2016

Well it’s a chance to get the degree…the prize is a Scholarship. May the best girl win.

    • A. George
      October 3, 2016

But if you win the crown you get a scholarship… so I guess you are encouraging them to continue their tertiary education?? Why, I thank you (queen voice)/
