The Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) is celebrating 250 years of witness in the said region.
As part of the celebrations here in the Dominica Methodist Circuit, a number of events have been planned to commemorate the event. As members of the Methodist community we are indeed grateful to God who has enabled the church to reach that milestone.
The Theme for the celebration is “With Faith, Hope and Joy we hold aloft the Light as we celebrate 250 years”.
A Press Conference will be held on March 1, 2010 at the Bethesda Church Hall at 11:00am to launch the programme of activities.
PRESS RELEASE.
I am trying to find out if the Bethany Methodist church in Rousseau Domenica survived hurricane Maria. My husband Ed Konczeski made the stain glass windows for that chuch.
Methodism originated in Epworth, North Lincolnshire, England. It began with a group of men, including John Wesley and his younger brother Charles, as a movement within the Church of England in the 18th century.
Congrats!
