Today is April Fools Day…sometimes called All Fools Day.

While its origin is unknown, most of the western world knows this is a day set aside for good-hearted pranks, hoaxes, gags, and giggles.

Generally speaking, the day is spent trying to get people to believe in falsehoods or otherwise run a “fools” errand or unnecessary action.

Good “fooler’s” take advantage and try to get their victim early as possible so that they don’t realize they are being fooled.

So Dominicans watch out because the most gullible around you will get caught in this old fools day.

    There is a time and season for everything.
    We had our share of April fool’s joke and by Canadian Websites as Sympatico.ca. Among other information which appeared authentic but were meant to fool people, I read that the Canadian Prime Minister is changing Celsius to Fahrenheit. This was obviously welcome news for Celsius and calculation from Fahrenheit to Celsius, specifically pertaining to the daily weather forecast, mileage to kilometers etc. are a pain in the neck. I personally would welcome this change.
    At the end of this information readers were informed to find out how much this will cost Canadian taxpayers. I clicked on it and obviously so did many people. The result was: “April’s Fool!”
    Note how easily people could be innocently and unsuspectingly be fooled. We just laugh and call it a day. It is a day to fool people and make them laugh. Hopefully, all April Fool’s jokes are not harmful ones.
