DNO would like to alert readers of a technical issue that has affected the home page.
That technical issue has essentially wiped out all stories that were published on Friday, October 21 and reverted everything back to Thursday, October 20.
It has also wiped out some comments that were posted by readers and were already moderated by DNO. Hence some comments have completely disappeared.
DNO apologizes for any inconvenience caused, especially with readers’ comments that have disappeared. We value comments from our readers and we do all our best to make sure that they stay online after they are moderated.
We appreciate readers’ understanding on this matter and we are working to have the issue rectified.
Well, some of this week’s news may be too hot to handle and also the comments. They may have caused a glitch.
Sorry to hear you were hacked. Keep up the good work and don’t give up. Remember, Assange? He took it on the chin and is winning!!
Accidents happen, and I expect most of your readers appreciate the service you provide.
It would be ideal, however, if you moderated comments a bit more swiftly, particularly responses made to comments on articles that aren’t the newest ones.
For example, no one will even see this comment until Monday. Perhaps you could recruit a few volunteer moderators to share the load?
Was your system hacked? I noticed how slow it has been. In addition it could also affect the computer systems of readers.
You had an article dated October 14th. A few of us commented. I noted the article and comments were removed or disappeared. I tried to access it on October 15th and did not see it.
DNO why do you mine visitors computer every time they visit your website. Do you sore or sell this data. why do you need to identify my computer location on each visit.
……………….. Creole fest around the corner and many people reading as they prepare for the visit. Some people dont want them to know the truth from “make believe”. They only want positive spins in the news so you sure have a problem.
Always Assertive!
correction “Thursday October 20
I thought that was a customary thing with DNO; Since 99.9% of all my comments are doomed to delete. Oh!! Now I see…I’m now looking for the resurrection of all my comments; past and present. Eh heh
Thursday October was the 20th, not 22nd
