Dominican mom in US donates kidney to daughter

Photos taken from ABC News

Probably the best gift a mom can give to her child is the gift of life and for Dominican Marilyn Loblack donating a kidney to her daughter was no big deal.

“When you’re a parent and you go on a daily basis seeing your daughter suffering for so long, there’s no other choice one can make and this is what I’m going to do,” Loblack, who is living in Maryland, said of her action.

Her daughter, Sacha Webster, was suffering from hypertension and Type 2 diabetes which lead to kidney failure.  Instead of spending up to seven years going through dialysis while trying to find an organ donor, her mom made a selfless decision to donate her own kidney.

Loblack’s decision made headlines in Maryland and the two are now recovering from surgery.

Marilyn Claudette Loblack is the first Dominica mother to donate a Kidney to her daughter, and the first in the Caribbean. Dominica should be very proud of her that deserves a medal

That’s an intriguing story, I am a personal friend of both Sacha and Mother Loblack, and this to me is a great sacrifice, however thats just the way they live their daily lives, giving and sharing.
I do wish both of them speedy recovery and hope to connect with them soon.

This move is certainly a type of Christ, God so loved, he sent his son to die, corresponding action of Love. This story will forever live on in my heart!!!!
