Athie Martin heads a group of UWP leaders who have agents in the United States seeking information on Dominicans who are residing illegally on St. Thomas St. Croix and the USA. Once they suspect that the person is a labour supporter they are out for him.

With President Obama ready to make the Immigration Amnesty Bill become law, thousands of Dominicans residing illegally in the US and its territories will become citizens of the United States of America. The UWP people are so hungry for power that they will burn down a house to kill a rat. They will destroy the livelihood of thousands of Dominicans to go after Prime Minister Skerrit.

Every morning, Athie Martin hits the airwaves talking about LABOUR supporters who are not in good standing in the United States of America. He said they are gathering information about them from their agents and will submit their names to the US Immigration and Homeland Security. How on earth can these men say they love Dominica and yet seek to harm our brothers and sisters who are out there struggling to make a living while they await their amnesty? Magwaysah!

    Dear Observers;
Sadly, free and fair elections does not start at the polls but right throughout the campaign season. By the time Citizens enter the voting booth the process will already be tainted by propaganda, misinformation, threats, intimidation and bribery. My dear Observers, what you will be observing on the 8th of December, 2014 is the calculated result of a well-oiled corruption machine. What may seem normal to you will be so unfair to the actual majority here on Island.
You see, Sir/Madam Observer, we the People have already seen the unfair practices of the current Government and we know that there is a deliberate attempt to steal the election and to put in place a government voted in by cheated votes and outright bribes, yet on election day all will seem “normal” to you! As it stands on the ground right now Dominica has already chosen the United Workers Party as their next government, but imported illegal voters may rob them of that choice. When you arrive we urge you to please speak with some voters and to consult with the UWP to get a sense of what is really happening here in Dominica and why it is even necessary to have observers present in the first place. Thank You.
My comment may not trouble all, but it will………………………………………………………………………………

The Observers will be in Dominica to monitor the election and I expect their assessment will be that it was FREE and FAIR.
And if UWP again loses, they will again cry about having been robbed.
Even though UWP’s representatives at the polling stations will tell them:
“No, Mr Linton, we did not see any Dead Person come in”
“No Mr Green, Mr USA and Mr Gwada are persons all of us know”.
“No Mr James, Monsieur Jean-Louis Haicien only voted once and in His own name”.
Lennox Linton and the UWP-ites know that an Unsantized list doesn’t mean that there will not be Free and Fair Elections.
It is true that the voters list includes :
names of People who have Died and WON’T be voting.
names of Dominicans in Dominica who’ve given themselves the option of participating in the process.
and Names of Dominicans now living Overseas who were registered before emigrating
The high number of registered electors is CLEARLY an indication of the vast number of Dominicans who have left home in the prime of their lives or at least after having been Properly Registered as electors.
Many say that our electoral laws should be changed to allow only Dominicans who are Permanent Residents of Dominica to vote.
Others think that the large overseas population of people who are considered Dominicans should’t be excluded from the process.
If the polls included only local residents,
Would the Vast number of Locals who vote for candidates in

The sour losers, UWP, will still cry foul! Athie shed crocodile tears in 2005, currently , he is using the scare tactic. What a bunch of losers and jokers. They know they are unable to win at the polls, therefore, these devious souls are coming up with all sorts of vicious ploys. We shall crush the false prophets! UWP will feel the might of the DLP on December 8th. Victory for the DLP! Labor power!

DC you mean through bribes and hand outs- come out clean nuh see who will get crushed; with all the bling and cling is that how you all want to win election; when you all you win please do not come around to tell the people is because of the world economic crises we can’t do this and that; and do not have people climb financial center steps for hands outs – instead I hope you all create jobs for the people; I mean you know all the facts of stealing the election in the pass thats why you speak like that – so go ahead that’s the only way you all may win; you all can never win by clean and fair elections but rather by bribes, by buying votes and that you can den DC; Where is your conscious what a shame!!!

At a polling station, they cannot say a thing. They are not to interfere. They are there as observers to ensure fair election. Hopefully there will be no violence. Whatever they observe, later on they will report on it but not at the polling station.

Great news to have election observers from Commonwealth Secretariat, OAS, CARICOM but I am still asking for electoral reform – cleaning/ sanitizing the voters/ electoral list, use of voters identification, 2 terms for the Office of Prime Minister, Campaign finance… And by the way Skerro did not ask China or Venezuela or Morrocco, I wonder why???

I thought Mrs P said it was too late to request observers… We’ll they are coming.. All should be happy now.

  14. Oh No
    November 27, 2014

This late request while absolutely required is an efter-thought, late therefore disrespectful and deliberately calculated to effect control during the electoral period.

  15. November 27, 2014

free and fair elections begins with the electoral commission doing their work with impartiality, without bias motives without a partisan agenda and keeping themselves free of any undue influences from certain unscrupulous lawyers.

The last time I checked Dominica was suppose to be a democracy. However, it looks more now to be a socialist fantasy. Like failed states like Venezuela, Cuba and communist China. One can do more than there share but not more than their time. In Daniel Chapter four there was a king in Babylon named Nebuchadnezzar and before he died he ate grass like an animal.
There was also another ruler in Egypt whose name was Pharaoh and God told him to let my people go. He refused and he drowned in the red sea. It has been said, that you admire dictators and your colleagues must be the same because birds of a feather stay together.
There was a giant in Palestine whose name was Goliath and God raised up young David to take him out. David said to him come with me with your sword and your shield but I come to you in the name of the Lord. God has raised up a good leader with team Dominica with a vision to take his people out of bondage.
This election is about right and wrong, good and evil. It is not about family or friends. It is for the people of the land of Dominica. The bible says if a man doesn’t work he should not eat and by the sweat of thy brow thou shall eat bread. But to remain in power, the people are given hand outs and bribes for you to remain in power. In a democracy, a government should create employment for the people so that they can work for their own money. A poor country such as Dominica cannot be in a thirty million dollar debt for your re-election campaign that is treason and the government will have to give an account for the misuse of government funds. I am concerned that some country or someone will seize Dominica for their money because nothing is free in this world. However, that is how some leaders operate. They are driven by their own ego and most of these men behave that way because of a troubled past and cannot get over it. Also, they did not receive much affection when they were a child and grew up with secret anger and took leadership the wrong way. They were looking for help by dictating, controlling, seeking power and money which is fueled by evil. What he really needs is prayer and help. Given the government one more term will make a bad situation worse. Some people are with him to see what they can get because of greed. A government is forever one so when one says if you do not vote for me, I am not your government. Be aware evil is here. Out of the abundant of the heart your mouth speak if. Dictatorship is not of God it is of the devil because the word of God says who so ever will let him take up his cross and follow me. The government is controlling the churches and state and that is dictatorship. Some pastors instead of being filled with the Holy Spirt they are full of themselves. Some leaders will destroy a nation to hang onto power. It is a disease that must be cured. This election is like no other. Dominica is on our crossroad, good versus evil, right versus wrong. Diaspora keep fasting and praying do not give up Dominicans, don’t give up. Look up God promises he will never leave you or not forsake you. He will be with you until the end. He has seen your tears, he feels your pain.
Dictators come and go, government will also go. Pharaoh is gone, Nebuchadnezzar is gone, Hitler is gone, Saddam Hussein is gone, Gaddafi is gone. Others will go also. A man is not bigger than an island.

PM Skerrit with a cleaned/sanitized voters list, none bribes like plane tickets we can have a free and fair and transparent election in Dominica without blindfolded observers.
Besides, are those observers made aware of your influence over the electoral commission? Are they aware that your puppet master Anthony Astaphans single handedly disrupt the process of having ID cards and a sanitized voters list from been available from this election?
Are these observers aware that they are entering into a boxing ring with one hand tied behind their backs after been told that their opponent is someone other than Mike Tyson?
    I am just curious.

Those people living overseas who are being paid to come and vote – you have no shame.
You don’t live here, you don’t have the experiences – hard times that we are going through, while Skerrit is using our tax dollars to pay for your tickets to come and vote.; even if you are assisting friends and family back home, that doesn’t give you the right to influence the results of the elections.
IF SKERRIT, AS HE SAYS, IS DOING SO MUCH GOOD FOR DOMINICA, WHY DOES HE NEED OUTSIDE HELP TO WIN THE ELECTIONS. DOMINICANS LIVING IN DOMINICA, SHOULD BE THE JUDGES HIS STEWARDSHIP, AND DECIDE WHETHER THEY SHOULD GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE.

When and if you come and vote, why don’t you stay here, non, and try to get a job. If things so nice, why
are you all wherever you are. Come back, non and enjoy the ‘seewo’.

Civil Servants, Teachers, Nurses, Police, everybody needs an increase in salary, yet Skerrit is squandering our money on Beres Hammond, Destra – even dancing a vulgar dance on stage with Destra while his wife
takes a photo of them in their lewd act. I can’t believe it. The man just wasting money and Dominicans living here need the money. We not accepting any 0% 0% 0%.
Those of you planning to come down to vote, HAVE A CONSCIENCE.

What’s going on in Dominica now is pure MADNESS. People are selling their souls and their country for money. What a shame!

    NONSENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The observers should have been here already so they can see for themselves the amount of money, building materials, etc. that Skerrit , himself and his candidates are distributing to buy votes.
The observers should be informed that the Opposition party is not given air time on the Dominica Broadcasting Services (DBS) Radio Station – the Nation’s Station; they should also know about sabotaging of tv channel stations 12 and 97 – sometimes Vibes Radio just ‘moves in’ on 97 (Q95); then there is also problem with the sound and/or picture on channel 12, that UWP – Team Dominica- has paid for.

Do they also know that the Labour party has paid thousands of dollars to an international polling company to conduct a survey in constituencies where their chances are slim, and that the respondents are paid between $200 and $500 just for answering the questions? The interviewers are recruited by a certain group of non-nationals living here and the same interviewers have been provided with a vehicle and are paid $3000 for conducting the survey.

What’s happening in my Dominica? Why is Skerrit so TERRIFIED of losing the elections?
DOMINICANS, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO VOTE FOR THE FUTURE OF DOMINICA. THINK OF YOUR CHILDREN.
DON’T BE SELFISH. TAKE THE MONEY – IT’S YOURS; DON’T VOTE THE LABOUR PARTY. EVERY FIVE YEARS YOU GET MONEY FROM THE CANDIDATES WHO ARE BEGGING FOR YOUR VOTES. AFTER THEY’RE IN, THEY FORGET ABOUT YOU.

AFTER 10 YEARS OF SKERRIT ADMINISTRATION, YOU CANNOT SAY LIFE IS THE WAY DOMINICANS EXPECT IT TO BE. vOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE. VOTE SKERRIT OUT SO THAT DOMINICA CAN BREATHE
    SOME FRESH AIR.
Ask for Dominica Christian Council and the Evangelical Association, they’re not doing anything about
getting airtime for the Opposition on DBS.

LET THE OBSERVERS COME NOW, NOT ON THE DAY OF ELECTION AS THEY DID LAST TIME.

    November 27, 2014

I would like some one {or most likely a member of Team Dominica} to explain to me, how on the planet earth, can some one come up with the notion that dead people are voting at elections. Every candidate going up for election has a representative or agent working at the polling station, when a person enters the polling both , that person gives their name, there are different representatives and agents, they all have to scrutinize the lists to verify if that name is registered and most times the people working at the polling station knows the voter. I think that’s impossible, for some one to pose as a dead person and is able to cast a vote.
With the importation of overseas voters, I will not doubt it, as it first started by the UWP while in office and while being in the opposition .

    • November 29, 2014

@ BEB….Although what you said here is untrue, what can be drawn from it is a mindset of pure ignorance. You are implying that if someone committed a crime before you then you should be permitted to commit the same crime too! What a piece of nonsense!!! Your grasp of basic morals and ethics are childish to say the least. Wrong is wrong and should be condemned no matter who did it “first”. It is quite true that some Dominicans wear their ignorance as a badge of honor! This is so sad! :(

    November 27, 2014

In the interest of transparency and good governance, not only should they be at the polls but should be in a position to see whether or not voters were bribed by the issuance of free tickets, plywood, galvanize, cash in days and weeks leading to poling day. Furthermore, since election was announced on November 5, they should be notified the same day the house was dissolved so that they would have enough time to monitor the events leading to election day. I do hope they get a chance to view videos of delivery of building materials and the manner Ms. in which Monelle and women were viciously attacked by Skerrit and Austrie.
