Executive member of the Roving Care Givers Program in Dominica Josephine Dublin-Prince said the High Scope Research Foundation has approved their programs and services in its assessment.
High Scope Education Research Foundation is an independent NGO with a mission to enhance lives through education, by developing curricular, training of teachers, conducting research, especially on the impact of high quality early childhood education and supporting programs and policies that benefit children.
“They visited Dominica recently and confirmed that the RCG program was on the right track, as far as the implementation of the update curriculum is concerned, and the obvious gains made by the children,” she said.
Prince says the RCG program has been operating in the Parish of St. David for over the past six years.
According to her, the program is home-based for families with children from birth to age three.
“This assessment speaks volumes of the RCG team, parents, children and the community. We believe that early investment in children is the way forward to true and sustainable development and the best contribution to poverty eradication and national development,” she said.
