In an effort to express solidarity with Dominica after the passage of Tropical Storm Erika, the staff and students of the Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School in St. Lucia have put together a video entitled, “GET UP DOMINICA. You can do it.”
The school said Principal Ethelene Leonce , staff and students wanted to reach out to the people of Dominica after the devastating effects of the storm. It said in addition to a contribution to the relief efforts it wanted to give a little more in the way of moral support.
The music teacher, Lester Joseph, got the entire school involved in song and dance to show the people of Dominica that they care and want them to be strong as they recover and rebuild. The video was directed by Joseph and filmed by In Time Television (IETV).
The accompanying music for the video is from Mary Mary’s “Get Up.”
See video below.
We the staff and students of the Same Pearlette Louisy Primary School are truly grateful that you all were blessed. So all the praise and glory to God who chose to demonstrate his love and faithfulness through us. Trust in him, he will pull you through. Yours truly, Mr. Joseph.

Wonderful video so touching thanks st.Lucia
St Lucian realize Dominica… it’s government and some of its people afraid to get up and move on… so they created this solidarity message for all you. Beautiful show of support and solidarity anyway
Aww, lovely. Thank you St Lucia!
Alas, thank God for them. But they are innocent, ehh – And they aren’t political. “Let the little ones come onto me; and do not turn them away.”
Truly AMAZING!!!
I was visibly moved by this remarkable video which has essentially epitomized the very deep connection between the peoples/places of St Lucia and Dominica which share so many commonalities culturally and topographically.
It is a commendable and brilliant and well executed effort and it is yet another wonderful example of the strongest of ties between us. Thank you St. Lucia you will forever remain in our dreams prayers hearts and aspirations. First and powerful respondents you were and your people have continued to demonstrate such remarkable Christian love and kindness and for this Helen will receive blessings in the ten and hundred fold.

Amazing humbling and appreciative. Whenever there is any doubt that we are joined at the hip as a caribbean people I will revert to this recorded gesture to cast away the doubts.
When our corrupt politicians in the region decide misalign a illtreat our own people ,our artists we must remember the overwhelming support of our caribbean people .
This was absolutely beautiful. It moved me to tears. Thanks for the support and solidarity. May God continue to bless our sister island St. Lucia!
Thank you so much kids! I caught a glimpse of my area battered by Erika and could not keep the tears from falling.
