The Ministry of Tourism & Urban Renewal endorses new mobile app

explore-dominicaThe Ministry of Tourism and Urban Renewal has endorsed Mirage Technologies in their creation of Explore Dominica, a mobile application geared at enhancing tourists’ experience while on island.

This app intends to provide tourists with a new and easy platform to explore the country and has functionalities inclusive of: information and directions to sites, restaurants and hotels, as well as emergency numbers. Explore Dominica app also introduces a new medium for advertising to tourism stakeholders by providing an arena for the display of their products and services.

The App is set to be launched at the Fort Young Hotel on December 12, 2016 where a number of invited guests, media and stakeholders will be privy to presentations guided by Mr. Kemuel Lodrick, CEO of Mirage Technologies who stated at an unofficial meeting with the Ministry of Tourism, “We are confident that this is a timely solution, given the technological era that we are living in currently.”

He continued, “Our application is expected to run on apple phones running IOS7+ and Android devices utilizing API 14+.’’

The Ministry of Tourism and Urban Renewal continues to lend support and assist in ventures aimed at promoting and developing the Tourism industry in Dominica.

    Dear Mr Tonge
I recently travelled to Dominica on the Britania 28th November, as a Dominican I need to highlight a few woes.
Firstly Dominica was the only Island that did not have Christmas decoration, nice stalls and shops, dir we need to improve the look of the place decors benches, activities, cruise berth please.
People refused to get off because of the pavements honestly i feel that we need a urgent cruise berth snd a local proper beach with bars on it Donkey beach will do.
    please please i beg.
