WCMF season tickets go on sale at promotional offer

Roseau, Dominica: August 15, 2017 – Season’s tickets for the 2017 edition of Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) go on sale today, August 15 at the promotional price of EC$250.00.

Patrons wishing to purchase their season’s tickets can do so at the Dominica Festivals Committee (DFC) office on the ground floor of the Financial Centre or at Bullseye Pharmacy (Roseau and Portsmouth). This promotional offer is available for a limited time only and ends on September 15, 2017.

This year we are focused on creating an unforgettable patron’s experience and visitors and locals can look forward to not only an exciting line-up but a transformation of the Windsor Park Sports Stadium to the Festival City in a manner like never before. So take advantage of the specials and buy your tickets early and be prepared for the undisputed premiere musical experience in the Caribbean.

The 20th edition of the World Creole Music Festival is slated for October 27-29 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau, Dominica. A line-up of top regional and international acts covering a diverse range of creole music from the infectious Bouyon to the sweet sensation of Soca and Calypso, Reggae, Afro-funk, Haitian Kompas to the vibrating sounds of Cadencelypso and Zouk awaits patrons. On this year’s exciting line-up are Machel Montano, Kalash, Mavado, Yemi Alade, Bunji Garlin & Fay-Ann Lyons, Sweet Micky, Kai, Etana, Romain Virgo, Klass, Marcé & Tumpak, Asa Bantan, Triple Kay International, Mizik à Nou All Stars, Breve, Swingin’ Stars, and the Zouk All Stars featuring Jean Marc Ferdinand, Orlane, Francky Vincent, and Stéphane Ravor and First Serenade Band.

    Last year when I went to buy tickets, I was told that I couldn’t purchase more than two tickets. This was bull …i want to Purchase for my people overseas and if I want to purchase one ticket or 20 tickets, I should it. Then allu will turn around and say allu doh make money. I hope this year is not the same.

    Dominica needs to Advertise with Nasio in the lead and the tons of tourist that will buy tickets could run in millions. Get smart people the Internet is alive and moving. There won’t be room for all that advertising what a Ssving.
    Actually. Give him one of the nights and Extra night and charge the real price his worth and DAwill get an overnight move in the Right direction. Just Loveone another. That includes me

    Wise decision. This looks like they are short of ready cash on their budget right now. In any case, they normally discount tickets even further closer to the event. I will take my chance. They should not issue so many VIP tickets and they would have more cash to cover their expenses.

    I want to get my ticket but I am not too sure if I should get it before Scareit returns home, because he seems to have gone to offer his sacrifice to his god, just like Abram did (though Abraham offered to the real God and was always safe), and I don’t know if Scareit coming back or not and if he doesn’t comeback there might not be WCMF and I will lose my money. So I will buy when I see him or only if one of the ministers can tell me where he is.

      You make a very good point. I hope the DFC realize we live in the 21st. century and make it possible to pay on line by credit card. That would help enormously.

    I am not saying anything will happen. I am just saying I will get mine later down in the year. After Erika, we cannot be too sure about anything.
