Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has died, following a stroke. She was 87.

Ex-spokesman Tim Bell said the woman known to friends and foes as “the Iron Lady” passed away on Monday morning.

“It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning,” Lord Tim Bell said.

Britain’s only woman prime minister, the tough, outspoken Thatcher, led the Conservatives to three election victories, governing from 1979 to 1990, the longest continuous period in office by a British prime minister since the early 19th century.

When she took office unemployment in England was 13 per cent after 8 yrs.as leader it went down to 5 percent.
    According to the lady,

“There is nothing like government money,it is tax payers money”

I wish Obama would take note.Socialism has never worked.

I still can’t believe the many positive tributes this woman is getting. Especially from us Black folks. She hated us. She supported apartheid. Her husband and her family had investments in apartheid Azania (South Africa). She brought in restricted immigration policies to the UK. And yet still people are hailing her as ‘great’? We need more critical thinking and have a knowledge of self. I’m just saying

Good morning my people. Well may she rest in peace but I won’t pass on tear for her. I am not salivating on her demise but I rather save my sorrow for my brothers and sisters in Grenada,South Africa and Argentina.

Margaret Thatcher, you have earned your name and fame in history and the history books. The world will never forget you. Rest from your earthly works and suffering. May you rest in God’s love, peace and glory. RIP!

Hello. She earned her fame on the back of Black people of South Africa for her support of their Apartheid Government . The informed people of the world will not forget all her crimes. I think she will be very restless in her grave.

This is politics. They cannot please everyone. They do what they think is best for the country. I have nothing against her. I wish her well in eternity, hoping God had mercy on her soul. The departed cannot defend themselves. I leave it all to God. ALlow her to rest in peace.

“I am still at the crease, though the bowling has been pretty hostile of late. And in case anyone doubted it, can I assure you there will be no ducking the bouncers, no stonewalling, no playing for time.

The bowling’s going to get hit all round the ground. That is my style”.

    – The Iron Lady. Baroness Magaret Thatcher may her soul rest in peace.

She sided gladly with the apartheid govt of South Africa and called Mandela a terrorist. Then, she turn her mind and eyes away from the Grenada upheaval, and verbally crucified President Reagan for sending in US soldiers to seeming quell the situation. Do you see a pattern? #ironheart

Hello. Some people won’t see the pattern or see the true name of this racist .

The same people who call others racists and other derogatory words are the ones who do so to others, who are not nice to them and also because of their beliefs which I will not elaborate on. Who are the true racists? God knows!

As heard on the Toronto news, she criticized the late Canadian PM Pierre Elliot Trudeau and called him a wimp. She was a no nonsense person. Who is not? Should I hate her for that? As British PM she felt she was obligated to speak up and act. People will not always agree with politicians views, principles and decisions. Let it be.

Thatcher famously said “If you want something said ask a man, if you want something done ask a woman.’ Looking at things here in DA today she may have been right.

I also heard it on the Toronto News. I laughed at this. She was indeed a tough PM and lady, a legend in her time. As a politician, she did her best.

Margaret Thatcher: A divisive figure in British politics but undoubtedly a great figure, a transformational leader.

On Eugenia Charles: the most sustained period of economic growth was during her time as Prime Minister in the 1980s. She, like Thatcher, provoked strong feelings of both admiration and support and criticisms and personal dislike but she remains the most consequential Prime Minister.

Both were excellent leaders. I will never forget the words of my dear mother when Eugenia Charles was defeated in the election, “Some people are too ungrateful.” I wholeheartedly endorsed it.
Eugenia Charles placed Dominica on the map. She was a prestigious lady of class and dignity. She wanted what was best for Dominica.
She never sought popularity. She already had it, being well known.
She did not need the money. She was already rich.
She did not reside in the Government House. She preferred living at her comfortable house thereby saving DA taxpayers an exorbitant sum of money.
From what I heard her month/annual salary as PM was donated to the Infirmary.
She traveled to the U.K., to Canada and elsewhere to drum up funds for Dominica. She did work hard to assist Dominica.
If I recall she was the first politician who was instrumental in providing a monthly income for the poor, the elderly and the unemployed in general.
We must consider that politicians are never one hundred per cent loved. They have supporters and non-supporters as also enemies.
I admire both Margaret Thatcher and Eugenia Charles, all for their works. May they both R.I.P. God bless their souls for the good they did for their countries and nationals.
I state this in all fairness to those two ladies as PM of their countries. Politicians have their unique styles. This writing is not open to criticism of any DA politician. Thank you!

I believe the part where respect has failed in DA is so true no respect at all the law is very poor in this time every man for himself and God is for all us that’s why we should rely on prayers not on man because they protect themselves with their own security money and leave us outside that the wicked and evil ones will robbed us, rapped us and kill us while they are well secured behind there fence no justic in DA is the truth straight up
