Muammar Gaddafi son killed by Nato air strike – Libyan government

Saif al-Arab Gaddafi

A NATO air strike in Tripoli has killed the youngest son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, a Libyan government spokesman has said.

Saif al-Arab Gaddafi, 29, was killed along with three of Muammar Gaddafi’s grandsons, according to reports.

The Libyan leader was in the building at the time of the strike, but was unharmed. Several of Gaddafi’s friends and relatives were wounded.

Libyan government spokesman Moussa Ibrahim said: “This was a direct operation to assassinate the leader of this country.”

Now I am from Berlin, Germany, and a lot of members of society right here are actually embarrassed that Germany seriously isn’t fighting together with NATO in Libya. We did not comprehend the mind-set of our federal. Relating to the military services, Germany is just bizarre.

I think Gaddafi may have killed his own son to gain sympathy and to justify his actions and maybe the hope of stopping foreign forces from interfering…you may think its a joke or thats stupid thinking, but people like Gaddafi are forced to make grave decisions and sacrifices all the time… its all about the bigger picture with these people…he will look like less of an animal and his son is now officially a Martyr.

What type of name or pet name is this?
You think! It is as assuming. I heard the meaning of assume – making an a.. of u (you) and me.
Do not assume. Ensure that you are correct. It is the proper action. Too many people assume. Your thinking may be incorrect and cannot be taken as the truth. Therefore, cease thinking – assuming.

Those of you who prefer to be fooled by lies, propaganda and hypocrisy can skip this post. For those who like to make informed opinions on issues read on:

    Who are the ‘Rebels’?

Their identities are not secret. Who they are and what they believe in is no secret. So why isn’t the press reporting the facts?

Cut, paste and search the names for yourself.

The Libyan Fighting Group (LIFG) also known as Al-Jama’a al-Islamiyyah al-Muqatilah bi-Libya is the most powerful radical faction waging Jihad in Libya against Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi’s regime. Shortly after the 9-11 attacks, LIFG was banned worldwide (as an affiliate of al-Qaeda) by the UN 1267 Committee.

LIFG was founded in the fall of 1995 by Libyans who had fought against Soviet forces in Afghanistan. It aims to establish an Islamic state in Libya and views the current regime as oppressive, corrupt and anti-Muslim (which is what makes it corrupt and oppressive to the rebels), according to the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. LIFG claimed responsibility for a failed assassination attempt against Gaddafi in February 1996. (5 years before the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001).

“Fierce clashes between [Qadhafi’s] security forces and Islamist guerrillas erupted in Benghazi in September 1995, leaving dozens killed on both sides. After weeks of intense fighting, the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) formally declared its existence in a communiqué calling Qadhafi’s government “an apostate regime that has blasphemed against the faith of God Almighty” and declaring its overthrow to be “the foremost duty after faith in God.”

This and future LIFG communiqués were issued by Libyan Afghans who had been granted political asylum in Britain…. (Gaddafi has been fighting against these Al Qaeda based rebels, the Rebels based in Benghazi for over 15 years).

As recently as February 2004, then-Director of Central Intelligence George Tenet testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee that “one of the most immediate threats [to U.S. security] is from smaller international Sunni extremist groups that have benefited from al-Qaida links. They include … the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group.”

Derna is famous as the home of a large number of suicide bombers in Iraq. It is also deeply hostile to Gaddafi. “Residents of eastern Libya in general, and Derna in particular, view the Gaddadfa (Gaddafi’s tribe) as uneducated, uncouth interlopers from an inconsequential part of the country who have ‘stolen’ the right to rule in Libya,” US diplomats were told in 2008, in a cable since released by WikiLeaks.

The last 110 members of the LIFG were freed on 16 February, the day after the Libyan uprising began (the 1995 uprising not the 2011 uprising). One of those released, Abdulwahab Mohammed Kayed, is the brother of Abu Yahya Al Libi, one of al Qaida’s top propagandists. Koumi fled Libya and is said to have ended up in Afghanistan working for Bin Laden. Captured in Pakistan, he was handed over to the US and sent to Guantánamo Bay in 2002. In 2009 he was sent back to Libya….

WHEN THE REBELS TAKE OVER, WHO WILL STOP THEM FROM SLAUGHTERING THEIR OPPOSITION IN LIBYA?

Some food for thought for those of you who support the oil thieves.

If armed rebels tried to overthrow the gov’t in the US, France, or Britain, would it be allowed or would Obama, Sarkozy and Cameron initiate a military response like Gadhafi did?

If Obama etc had attempted to put down an armed rebellion, would it be right for China and/or Russia to interfere in the war, arm the rebels, and start bombing the Pentagon, White house and American soldiers? Would it be right for them to bomb Obama in attempt to kill him while he is in the presence of Michelle, his children, family and friends?

Is it OK for NATO to attempt to assassinate Gadhafi at a private residence, knowing that his friends and family including innocent children were in the home?

Has Gadhafi been put on trial? Isn’t that how democratic countries are supposed to operate? Who made NATO judge, jury and executioner in Libya?

Why isn’t NATO trying to assassinate the President of Syria by using a fake ‘no-fly zone’ ? Isn’t he doing even worse than what Gadhafi is accused of doing? Gadhafi responded to an armed rebellion, isn’t Syria shooting to death unarmed protestors as we speak?

Why are the dictators in Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Bahrain allowed to put down protests with violence with zero sanctions from the US or NATO?

Why is NATO acting like bullies and attacking countries which happen to have a lot of oil and no allies which can come to their defense from a NATO attack? Why didn’t they intervene during the genocide in Sudan?

If the rebels actually enjoyed popular support in Libya, why is it that Libya has 7 million people, and even with the greatest air forces in the world having destroyed Gadhafi’s air force and tanks, and murdering Gadhafi’s soldiers in their barracks with million dollar bombs, they can’t defeat Gadhafi?

Why are there only a few thousand rebels in a country of 7 million people if they were really supported by the Libyan population?

Would the people of Libya prefer living in an Islamic state with oppressive Sharia law (the true objective of the Benghazi rebels who are radical Muslims and affiliated with Al Qaeda) than the secular gov’t of Gadhafi?

If Gadhafi is such a wicked tyrant and not good for Libya, why is it that under Gadhafi, Libya became the most prosperous African nation, has free healthcare and education, advanced infrastructure, and ZERO debt?

What is the national debt of the oil thieves ie the US, France and Britain?

Why is NATO rejecting all Gadhafi’s offers to negotiate peace? If the mission was really to stop attacks on civilians, why not at least attempt to negotiate with Gadhafi to put an end to the violence? Is it because their war will be a failure unless it achieves it’s real goal: REGIME CHANGE and the installation of a puppet gov’t who will allow them to STEAL OIL?

The people who gave you the thumbs up on your low-degrading comment probably didnt even read the whole thing. This is how we Dominicans are.we do not take the time to read and we listen to people like you for advice. Do you understand that this man is killing innocent women and children and he has vowed NOT to stop? 40 years in power dont you think thats enough? And we Dominicans already have blood on our hands: Chinese money in a country with the highest capital punishment rate, and where you are beaten for being a christian.

Big Bannan you are a big liar…You must be either a host or one of the frequent callers on Puke95…

If you would just watch five minutes of news you will see armed rebels with assault machine guns and rocket launchers mounted on trucks, firing into the air. Since when did armed rebels = innocent women and children?

The Libyan army is fighting a rebel army, not attacking innocent women and children. And if you were following the war you would know that the rebels are doing most of the attacking.

STOP THE LYING IT IS DISGUSTING.
