Several dead after shootings in Christchurch, New Zealand

There are “multiple fatalities” after shootings at two mosques in the city of Christchurch, police in New Zealand have confirmed.

According to the BBC, police commissioner Mike Bush confirmed that one person is in custody, but said it was unclear if others were involved.

Witnesses told local media they ran for their lives, and saw people bleeding on the ground outside the Al Noor mosque.

Authorities advised people not to go to mosques until further notice. All Christchurch schools are on lockdown.

In a statement to the nation, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said details were not yet clear, “but I can tell you now – this will be one of New Zealand’s darkest days”.

A person who have received the Lord Jesus as his Savior, will demonstrate the love of God towards his fellow-men and will never do him wrong. But sad to say, many of us consider trusting Christ as old fashion and weakness

I agree with you. It is sad that people are getting killed for their personal beliefs. My heart aches for all involved in this, the family, friends, communities, and country.

That’s THE problem, all of you think your God is the way, so did the gunman I suppose. Sad
By the way, which Jesus is it the one portrayed as any white hippie or one burnt under the Nubian sun in North Africa? Oh, it’s not about color. Lol

@Annonymous, it is all about faith pertaining to God, who is Eternal Spirit, Christ, whose Temple is the Body of Jesus the Son–His Person in Love. We are not supposed to know what Jesus looked like, otherwise, our faith cannot work and there would no hope in meeting Him since we would already know Him physically.

Even if Jesus’ disciples walked with Him for 5 years, when He was raised from the dead they could not recognize Him; at the tomb, Mary thought that He was a gardener.

You are speaking about people who are worshipping Idols, the apostle Paul tells us that God is made with hands–He is Spirit. We know that Jesus was a Jew, in that the apostle John wrote: “He came to His own and His own did not receive Him.”

Jesus’ own, when He walked the Earth, was the Israelites. But today, both Jews and Gentiles are one flock before Him, He is the Shepherd
